Well, most know I love Slender more than your average bro here in the forums... xD But Amnesia is my ultimate favorite.

I think Slender is more a one trick pony while Amnesia boasts a larger set of production values. Also Amnesia lets modders have a better level of visual quality. I have only played Amnesia's demo so far though, so my opinion is rather limited.

When it comes to scare factor I would also go with Amnesia. My one trick pony thing tranfers here for Slender too. :huh:

I was played a Horror game "Rule of Rose" on PS 2 and did not forget it till now...

Amnesia build up an erie feeling of hopelesness and it left me being afraid of the unknown.
In slender you know exactly what to expect and its basically just slenderman popping out of nowhere and giving you a cheap jump scare.
it doesnt have the same quality in horror amnesia will always be scarier imo.
Now this isnt on the list but Silent hill 1, 2, 3 and 4 kicks amnesia and slenders asses by far!

Amnesia is pretty good, and the original slender was pretty good as well. It had kind of an original gameplay feeling and the sequel will have more maps, story so I'm giving them a chance. Amnesia is better than slender, but the original slender IS good. It's like Assassin's creed... first game wasn't favorite for a lot of people (not me... I loved it) and BANG!
AC2 had a lot of improves and that did the trick. Let's give slender a shot (and don't forget the first slender was made by ONE dude)

Aye. Amnesia actually has content and story, Slender is a gimmick.

slender and amnesia have become FAR to overrated ( even AMFP has.. and it isnt even released )

but if i had to choose between the 2 amnesia

i prefer a story and not just having the enemy scare you
