Don't worry about it, I'm 17 and haven't met any of my online friends :p I think two of my friends from America are coming next year and my friend from Birmingham is driving to Hull or I'm driving to Birmingham, whichever one of us can drive first probably wins it XD

    • Haha, it's good that you can find friends online and have fun with them.
I think that regional sections would be a good add-on to the forums. For an example, there's quite a few Finns out there that can't speak fluent English, so having a section where they can speak Finnish without worrying would be great.

I have never met people that I meet online in real life. I usually find people in real life and then talk to them online afterwards. Not the other way around.
Feel free to call me Alex. : )
    • Well, I've got few friends and maybe if I'll go to school in denmark or the states I might live at their place for a short time.
Also after finishing school I was thinking about travelling around the world and during that time I could maybe meet some people I know
also from the internet. It would be hell of a fun , unless I'm getting kidnapped and some1 will sell my kidney... :D
I've got few ppl on my list who I'm planning to visit, during my travels ...

    • Online Friends

Well my story is kinda old for this one.

I have met an online friend when I was still in high school.
It went pretty well although we don't have any contact now.
Before I meet someone I should really know at least his/her background.
You know, somehow you kinda see this person is authentic and true in a way.

I have some online friends now and they are really lovely.
We kinda know also our personal lives so we trust each other.
I hope to meet them someday and play games together.

    • I met one of my online friends, who I consider one of my closest <3 I was sixteen and she was nineteen at the time and though we lived in different states, she lived not far from me because I live near the border of IL and she on the border of IN. We wound up going to the same concert with different friends - and we met up. Then she moved out here to IL officially and she became my permanent concert buddy.

She is also the one person who I chose to be the very first reader - and my editor - of my book.

Needless to say, online friends are not to be taken lightly.

    • My gamer friend

well,i think i will probably never meet gamers from knowing pewdie, since i am from brazil...
and i guess i am the only one, except for my two friends that showed pewdie to me.

but i have one from not a gaming friend, but a website one, here in brazil:

i was chilling out, with my comics website, then i got an email, sending a partnership request from a guy,he was cool,he knew how to use HTML(if that is correct in english),and he was starting his comic site,so i,with my "grandious" website, helped him and once,in a chat,i've asked:
hey bro, what time it is? (cus' my watch was broken and i forgot about the time diffences)
so he answered okay, where do you live so i can convert it?
and we both said Fortaleza,Ceará(we didn't know where each other lives)
we got shocked as fuck,so we met in real life.
he is a cool guy,i still play TF2 with him,and he always do something about HTML when i asks.

PS:sorry for english,i am from brazil.
Well,it looks im one of the only bros that are brazillian...

      Frickin' amazing!

      Look at pewdie
      pewdie is amazing
      give him a like
      hummm
it tastes just like brofist!

Well, your lucky! We are both in the same predicament, but i'm at least 7 years older, and at least you can count to potato!

But talking about me, I don't believe i have met any gaming friends irl, as travel is a big factor for me. It's inconvenient. Being an island nation, travel to another country in europe/usa can cost up to NZ$1100-2000 (idk, but it's very expensive), so, for a person like me, 16 yrs. It's hard.

Also, i haven't been abroad before...

    • One of my friends introduced me to her boyfriend because she knew I was into LoL (at the time) and she also knew her boyfriend was addicted to LoL. So she asked me for my LoL name and we met online! I knew he went to the same school as me and that we were in the same English class but we weren't that close. After playing a few matches and having some skype calls with his mates as well, I started getting to know him and his buddies. Little did I know that the others also went to my school and that some of them were in one of my classes! I'm feeling pretty lucky meeting him because I also got to know a lot of people (well 100% guys but) and I think i'll be getting to know more people :)

So it's true that we can become friends with people we meet online :D But only some I guess
    • I've met an online friend of mine that's 3 years older than me in real life.

I known her since I was 7 when we played this kid's game together online, and finally after all these years we actually got to meet and it was awesome. We met at a convention and went to some panels, shared some pocky, and ate dinner. We were celebrating my birthday too, since it was my birthday during the time of the con. :)

I get to meet her every year now, at that con. She's one of my best friends in the world. :3
