    • What made you partner with where? [TGN Partner Asking]

Hey guys, makehimanoffer here (youtube TooDuelForSchool)

So anyways, I've been made a TGN partner, with the sexy new youtube banner to prove it XD(its clickable too ) :

      youtube.com/user/TooDuelForSchool?feature=mhee

My viewcount is up in the 65,000's so thats pretty epic too(but the sub count I have doesn't correllate that well).

But, my main question is: is anyone else a tgn partner, and if so do you know what the story with all the late payout lark or whatever is? or if you're partnered with someone else, how is their system

I got really paranoid about it all and so I just decided to only partner one of my channels (the main one) so that I'd at least have a backup adsense. but if there's one thing it's teaching me is: how to do better thumbnails and a better format for let's plays (coming in the new videos to come soon).

So yeah, I've seen a few people are partnered with SocialBlade and I'm just wondering, why did you choose them or whatnot?

For me, I really wanted that banner :P.

    • I'm partnering with Union for Gamers which will be final in a few hours.
Reason for this is no term of contract, and a standard $3 CPM for everyone. I suggest not telling people what your CPM is as it's against your contract, but congrats man :)

As for subs, they don't mean AS MUCH as views, BUT when starting out personally they are everything as most people sub small channels and are loyal rather than 'oh this guys funy il sub' and he has 400k subs and they hardly watch a video :P
    • Socialblade/RPM was a total dick @ me.

I was getting around 1.500 daily views and they didn't accept me since I didn't use social media enough according to them. Thats the shittiest reason I have ever heard. Its like telling someone to do something and he does it perfectly and the you just say I want something else. Complete balony.

Well fuck em , they can suck that fella down below.

Yeeaaahhhh.... Alot of em think they have something you need, and you're a moron if you don't take it, but then again, some just like being in power really.
Social networking is a big thing, but quite honestly if you remain a small channel, and they can still make income, where's the problem? I've seen them partner channels with 100-200 subs ssooo... Thats retarded. I bet if you got a different representative, it would have been different :/

I love Union for Gamers (Curse) i have 3 of the interns added on skype, and man are they awesome people, you should see the dialogue i got away with in the 'interview', the head of the department said i made her day. Hahaha.

Seriously first I got rejected since I had "copyrighted content" in public while I have written permission of the authors to (re)publish there work and alter the work in anyway etc. and even supplied fucking screenshots and he was like : "I'm sorry can't partner you , you haz copyrighted content , apply next time". Seriously , I wanted to choke a bitch , might partner through an other network (and way more friendlier and helpful) then that shitty RPM/socialblade network when I get my views up again. First I need to find a decent one aswell.

And sadly I have must confirm that it has been the same representative , all my friends always told me that the staff was nice and helpful and such, but he was a total dick.

      Tell me if you already know this but;

There is a difference between getting permission the use their content, and getting permission to use their content commercially under youtube monetization laws.

It's all well and good to get permission to use their stuff even edit and change it to how you see fit, but you must get them stating these words 'agrees to let (person) use the content that i create, that i personally create therefore owning the copyright to use commercially under youtubes monetization laws" i also usually put at the end 'provided they supply a link to my channel/page' as i like to praise the people who make (usually the music) content that i use :)

been there done that. Still doesn't explain the latest rejection. Douchebaggery

    • I was looking at socialblade to be honest. But I wasn't sure what to expect. I went for TGN cos of the whole they pay monthly rather than a limit. Also, you can get the thing of submitting your videos to their channels. After that its all much of a muchness. Either way. I'm building my other two channels and slowing down a bit on that one (to maybe one upload a day), at least until I get a confirmed payment from them.

My main thing is: with adsense you can check and see what you get a the next day for the previous day. but with tgn you can't. but when they bring in dashboard hopefully it'll be a lot better. But, its weird. My viewcount goes up by a 1000 or so a day(always while I'm asleep), regardless of upload or not. But I don't see where the views are going.

But, thanks for replying to my thread. union for gamers looks cool, but too new. socialblade seems okay. someday, someday I'll machinima :P

Machinima , avoid that. Produces shit lately with 1337 MLG KWikSc0p CoD kids and then brag that they are partnered with Machinima. I suggest you stay with TGN

As much respect i have for Cirno... I wouldn't listen to this post. Although what he says has merit, that i'snt enough to just toss a partnership network aside, there are many other BIGGER things than that to consider.

CPM, Contract Term, Benefits, etc etc. That's what you need to consider, rep shouldn't mean much, it's something you'll be locked into for awhile (unless you choose Union for Gamers) so choose wisely.

Don't believe everything a partner scout tells you, they get a cut if they get you partnered so its in their best interest to partner you. Ok?
    • its alright. I'm not in a position to partner with machinima... yet. only have 210 subs. but someday I'll be in the position. I'm not too fussed. if tgn works out and I get paid when I'm supposed to for an amount I think is just then I'll be happy. If not, then I don't know. I still have two other channels without partnership. I'll just use them instead. Course one of them is fighting games only. but whatever.

Also, my vids wouldn't fit with machinima anyways. :P

    • Just the post I needed. I just got accepted for partnership but I'm yet to send back the contract. I also applied to SocialBlade, so I'm waiting to hear back from them before I do anything. I didn't know SB had this weird social-site requirement. I mean, why not give you the option to create a Facebook or Twitter account for your channel if that's all that stopping them from partnering? As far as SB vs. TGN goes, from the research I've done, both are great in different ways, though apparently a lot of people do complain the TGN partnership process takes longer than any other (which I don't really care about, so meh). It seems the fan favourites right now run between SocialBlade, Yeousch, and TGN.
    • Hopefully, in the near future if i get some more viewers and subs, I will either be partnered up with TGN or Machima or Some other gaming network, as most of my video's are gaming vids with commentary.

Can anyone give me any opinions on how good these networks are plz? It would be helpful for when i do get some more viewers and subs.... :D

      cheers

    • I'm also a TGN partner but they approached me and I kind of just jumped at the offer... normally if they find you (I wasn't too fussed about partnership at the time but it just happened) they treat you a lot better because they want to make money off of you. It's the typical dog eat dog world tbh... I too, had to remove copyrighted content which was 3 whole LPs one of which was New Vegas which I worked my ass off on and I had to delete upwards of 200 videos... damn that was painful!
