Youtube Partner - PewDiePie

Hello bros!

I have a quick question that I cant seem to get a proper answer for.
On youtube partnership page it says that it is not available in Sweden.
Then how can PewDiePie be a YouTube partner? o_O

Thanks for replies.
I wanna have an answer for this because I am having a gaming channel to, and I would love to become a partner, but it isnt available in Norway :((

Well, first of all, do you have all the qualifications required to apply for Partnership?

If you do, then there must be a regional difference or something.

Contacting them and clarifying further would be a better idea.

Dude, its available in sweden.
In that case i wouldnt be able to get partnered.

And if you are heading into youtube with a goal to make money, you'd better not start.
Just saying.

Sometimes it says it's not available in your country if you had copyright claims/strikes or something to that degree.

And this is why people apply through networks , Pewdiepie is part of Machinima (which is one of the suckiest Partnering networks imo currently due to all the Nosc0p kids etc.) and actually not a straight youtube partner.

Hi again Br00tal.
Im not making videos to earn money, im doing it to share the fun of the video games and to share my experience with them.
But ofcourse if I were to be lucky and my channel explodes, youtube partnership is something I wouldve wanted.

And Cirno, are you saying you can get partnered through networks? Then that explains most of it

I guess you are in a network then, br00tal, since you are partnered and from sweden.

And also Morgrayne I havent been in any conflict with copyright yet, so I dont think thats why.

The google page clearly says this is not available in your country, so I guess Cirno is right and that you have to apply trough a network.

If you're a gamer, there's no way you can be a DIRECT Youtube Partner and have to go with a gaming network. They cut your income but it's much better than Adsense fucked up policy in my honest opinion.

I believe it works dependent on where your partner is based. For me, Curse is based in California so technically I'm contracted to a company all the way over on the west coast of the USA.

AS OF APRIL THIS YEAR ANYONE WHO MONETIZES A SINGLE VIDEO IS AUTOMATICALLY A YOUTUBE PARTNER. But because of this change you do not unlock any of the nice things you used to, such as a banner, thumbnails etc. They just give them to you whenever they feel like it. I'd says pewds is not a youtube partner, but partnered with some form of a gaming network.

Ok, here's what you can do

You can try and partner up with different networks (Yep, youtube isnt the only partnership network)
Try TGN or Necessary Gaming

Yes, this is true, however after doing much research for about a month, i found out that when you monetize, you dont becoem a 'full' partner. To become a 'full' partner you need to partner up with a network.

When you monetize, you get the custom thumbnail feature if they think your channel and vids are good quality, but they dont enable banners etc. Another reason to partner up with a network
