Incorrect. The non moving is usually the case but most people SUPER FOCUS on it and waste their time you just gotta relax, wait till your're about to go asleep and snap your mind into conciousness and let your body go.
You have decent tips, but better measures have been found.

Not incorrect. That is correct. That works for me. I can keep focusing on nothing until the numbness starts to kick in.

      I fuck that part up.

Nono, don't get me wrong the method CAN WORK, BUT there are better ways of going abou tit now, let me example.
This guy who lucid dreams on command found an easier way whislt experimenting.

The whole purpose of WILDing is to at the last second break free of yourself sliding into unconciousness, and snapping into a concious state and slipping into a dream. Now in doing so he thought, well this automatically happens when you fall asleep normally only you lose conciousness. What if you can just do everything right and at the last second, break free.

So he laid down in any position, actually many tutorials say to start in one, go into another, and then into a final position as this is normal to go to sleep and makes it easier to trick the body.
He then just went to sleep as normal, not focusing on anything, swallowing, the whole thing, letting thoughts just float around softly.
And he played the word game but just softly, not really concentrating just letting it flow before his eyes.

And the thing is, by doing that, you're still trickling some form of concious thoughts through, but the body doesn't really notice as it has already received most of the normal tells that you're going to sleep.
SP (sleep paralysis) may or may not kick in, but it doesn't matter because you don't care about that, you're flowing thoughts softly, and as the body snaps to sleep you just trickle a small amount of concious through and BAM, your dream can spontaneously appear and you slip into it.

Now the reason why it's alot easier to do this in the DAY after a nap and then going back into the dream after say 1.5hours of a nap, is because during the day all your minds sensory functions in the brain are on, not off. Making it easier to stay concious.

It's quite a feat to WILD but if you do, it can be the most rewarding!
    • seriously, its easy, i do it alot of time, what you have to do, once your in the dream, you just have to realize that you are in a dream and not in the real life wolrd and you will be able to control your dream
i do not do it with inappropiate dreams, because when i will get to the real thing, i wont be pumped :)
