      Hey y'all lovely bro's! :D
      Me and a friend are talking about shooting some Let's PLay videos.
      And i was wondering which kind of hardware u guys were using?
      like Microphone and Webcam?

      I have both, but they're record in extremely shitty quality.
      It would be nice with something not too expensive but still
      with an okay quality outcome? ;)

    • I have no idea what the name of my microphone is, so I guess i'll just link it xD
      and my webcam is... Logitech C500, or something like that :P (comes with a great built in microphone, very sensitive though)

      It's a really cheap microphone, and the quality is great compared to the price :P + comes with the tripod, so it's really really cheap :P
      The only minus is that you have to sit really close to the microphone, but it comes with noise suppression, so you can put it up to like +30 db without any noise :)

    • For Facecam videos, I ghetto-rig it up. I just record the game video with fraps and the facecam with a handheld video camera (Kodak PlaySportHD). The camera doesn't have an input for a mic so I have to just use the cameras audio. Once everything is recorded, I transfer the footage to my computer then I just cut and edit them together using Sony Vegas.

      Not the best way to go about doing it, but it gets things done.

    • Using logitech C615 HD Webcam. It also comes with really nice software so recording with it is great :P oh yeah and for my microphone I have plantronics gamecom 777 I suppose :P

    • I'm a console gamer/LP'er so I use a DC60+ EZcap Capture Card, you can get them really cheap on ebay for between £5 and £15 ($8 and $24)

      As for my microphone I just use a cheap shitty one that cost me £0.99 and then improve the audio quality later in audacity and I've never had a complaint about the quality of my commentary (well on the audio side of things anyway XD)

      Now, I've only ever used a facecam once but I used my iPod Touch 4th Gen

    • I don't use webcam, If I do it'd probably just be my laptop's webcam until I get a better one. For my headset I have a plantronics gamecom 780. It's pretty good. It was $128 though.

    • I have a Steelseries Siberia V2 headset, so it comes with a microphone. I'm not a specialist but I really like the audio quality (never played with a headset before, it changed my life), and the mic is decent with a pop filter on. For the facecam, I have a Logitech Pro C920 webcam (awesome). Oh, and I record my gameplay with Fraps on my computer and a HD PVR for console games, and render my files with Sony Vegas Pro 11.

      Nope, but that's what I use Sony Vegas for... tweak a few settings and BAM!! HD
      It's not a bad capture card but it would look awful if you uploaded it straight away without edits

    • Me, I know I haven't uploaded vids yet, but I am using 2 programs at the same time while recording:
      Xfire for the video game audio and video
      HyperCam 2 for the commentary audio
      and to merge the audio for the commentary with the game's audio:
      FormatFactory to separate and rejoin the audio and video
      FL Studio to merge the audio files without over-writing.
      I just use my head-set's microphone to record the commentary.
