The Problem with Doing Alot of videos

Hey guys, makehimanoffer here(youtube: TooDuelForSchool). I like playing games, I like making youtube videos, and I really like making youtube videos of me playing games. The one problem I have is: the sheer amount of videos to upload and such.

The Main Problems:
Annotating All The Videos,
Putting up alot of videos,
Doing all the Custom Thumbnails.
Tagging and writing descriptions for all the videos...

The worst thing of all though: You have to be selective of what you share on forums and such.

Also, when should which videos go up? all at the same time? at points throughout the day?

So yeah. Discuss. Any of you upload alot of videos. how do you manage? etc?

Annotating: You are just lazy, annotations does help alot.
Alot of videos? Ever heard of Quality over quantity? Apparently not.
Thumbnails: Still Lazy
Tagging and writing description: SERIOUSLY HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

I share montages the most, my normal videos on social networks.

One a day is enough for me, and every video at the same time? Are you out of your mind?
I upload when the fuck i want, you should do the same.

How i manage uploading videos? I play when i have time and when i play, i only record.
I got a real life to attend to aswell.

And the last line was really necessary, wasnt it?

Annotating: You are just lazy, annotations does help alot.

I have annotations in all of my videos. but when you've 31 Batman Videos to annotate with previous, next, subscribe and random video (INDIVIDUALLY I MIGHT ADD) it becomes a task. then 12 Crash Bandicoot, 12 Amnesia, 11 Lone Survivor, 8 Hercules, 23 Slender. All of those annotations take time time.

Quality Over Quantity? When you do let's plays, as in from start till finish. an hour of gameplay equates to 5 videos.

Thumbnails: Make the template. Create for no 1, save, upload, edit for 2, save, upload. do this for each part of a let's play. Lazy my ass.

Tagging and Video Description: GAME NAME
"GAME NAME"
"let's play GAMENAME"
"GAMENAME walkthrough"
"GAMENAME gameplay"
"GAMENAME commentary"
"GAMENAME pc gameplay"
blind "let's play" lets play playthrough walkthrough "video game" tutorial
GENRE SPECIFIC TAGS (action, adventure, horror, scary)
GAME SPECIFIC TAGS (writer darkness light guns shooting firearm "episode 1" nightmare)

Edit to match every freaking game you play.

How do manage uploading videos does not equal when do you play. Its when do you make visible/actually upload. One vid at 2.30, one at 5.30 and one at 7.30.

yes, Athene uploads freaking hourly.

Without hard work you aint getting anywhere.
Thats what my dad used to say to me when i was a kid and right now you are acting like one.

When i say Quality over quantity, dont spew out 3-5 videos a day.
Youtube will never be your job, and whatever you do you still have a real life to attend to.

I do everything when i think its necessary, people are taking youtube way too seriously nowadays.

I ask has anyone had to deal with any of the problems listed and is there an easier way? you haven't apparently. conversation resolved.

Just do the annotations when you upload a video. So you don't have to do loads.
I have 7 annotiations on each of my videos now, count yourself lucky lmao

I don't think you should upload more than a video a day though, pewdie does 3 but it's his full time job.
It's a bit different. I only upload once every 2 days but I don't have the time to record enough to upload daily.
You can set up the default tags and desc for each video in your settings some where. Unless its partners only,
I'm not sure.
That's just my two cents.

7 on one video? fuck me. why? I saw someone who had this featured sub thing on the side, looking like some dose of annotating and editing.
Ah yeah, my thing with the more than a video a day thing is: I have Elmo Plays and different LP's running at the same time and then sometimes a slightly topical vid. Moral of the story, tone down the uploads.

I have "Last Video" "Last (series video)" [e.g. I'd put Grey 1 there on Grey 2's video] "Playlist for that series", "Next video" "Next (series video)".
Then at the end I have the last video and the subscribe.
You don't have to upload one of each series a day.
I alternate my uploads with my series'

ah yeah. I think I getcha. what kills me inside is the close rate with regards annotations

Ah yeah. I alternate alot too ya see. that's the thing. still have huge backlog. like theres no batman vid today, but I have 6 more in backlog.
one crash bandicoot today, but 8 in backlog.
Its all good. wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it.

If you have such a big backlog then I'd just record less or upload more.
I keep a backlog of about 5 videos in case I don't get chance to record.

I could upload more but I'm trying to be strategic views wise. throw too much at your subs, lose views. give them too little, they're left waiting

Offer favours to friends to get the harder stuff (such as thumbnails - which really aren't that hard) done!
I have a friend who I pay in cans of monster for making my thumbnails XD I make the occasional one myself but it's not that great...
The file attached is the one that I made and the thumbnails on the youtube link - my friend made.

The other stuff has simple ways around it, too!
I keep my mandatory stuff for my descriptions in a notepad file and the same for my tags...

If someone asked me if I'm lazy I'd say yes... but in the sense that I find easier ways around stuff

Not a clue, I've only been with them for a couple of months but I hardly ever use annotations unless I'm giving someone a shoutout (which doesn't happen often)

Ah right. no worries. Applied to them today, got accepted(seemed waay too quick) and waiting on the partnership invite through youtube. so I said I'd ask about it. their annotation format is strange. to me putting them at the top of the video is weird, cos if in an embed or a strange video player glitch they get covered by that black bit that comes down with the title. but sher whatevs

You can do what i did...i'm taking a break and just uploading one video a day during the weekdays..my work schedule changes at the last second...and i got a wife and kid to take care of..I usally make 5 thumbnails in advance..even if i don't need them..just so i don't have to deal with it later..lol. i don't know why people are getting mad in here?..i understand it's alot of work..and when you have really bad internet it makes it even worse ontop of everything...i almost quit because of how much time i was missing out on...well...everything..but instead i cut back..and this comes from a guy who isn't afraid of work

but yeah I see what you mean. life gets in the way. I'm okay that way so far. but 3rd year project for college will kill my time soon :P.

You wont lose them..i wouldn't think..Hell...I'm gaining still with just 1 video a day..lol
