    • motivational help?

Hey bros so my life is not very good right now, i moved from my gf of 8 months, and now we just broke up. My new school is very hard and stressful and so is trying to make new friends and just adjusting overall. ive been um.. conteplating suicide for awhile now... so if anybody wants to give me some advice or something go for it. Also you can post some of your troubles and see if people will help you out too! thanks bros :)
Do what you must, and do what you have to do, to survive out here.
    • Just do things you can get destraction from, if it is playing video games, do that, or going to the gym do that. Just destract yourself from the negative things and try to reach the positive only. You'll make new friends, it's always hard at the beginning but you'll find some people you can chill and hang out with.

"People will laugh at your dreams, then hate you when you made them come true."
    • Suicide isn't a good thought. Don't think about that.

I agree with Wobbly here, try to distract yourself from stuff.

Download a new series and watch them, or play some new games, start learning to draw like a boss, listen to epic music.

Do anything that'll make you occupied the whole day. Always try to do something new everyday. :)

And about friends, this forum right here is a great way to make new friends. I, myself, have found a lot of good and awesome friends here.

      [one of them is Wobbly]

Always look on the brighter side of life. Bad things happen to everyone. But good things happen to those who try. :)
    • You shall be yourself and think about things that makes you happy.
I, for example, have my beautiful niece and my wonderful nephew. They make me very happy and I'm still here thanks to them.
So I suggest that you do the same. Find someone or something that makes you happy :3
I have not failed. I have just found 10 000 ways that do not work.
    • Sorry to hear about your situation dude, but trust me, more people than you think have have thoughts of suicide at some point so don't be scared that it's on your mind. What i would advise is start an exercise regime (lol i can hardly talk), the endorphins will do you good (and if you do resistance training you'll likely start feeling good/better about yourself). That and/or join a group, like football or rugby or something, anything that interests you and gets you interacting with other people. Keep structure to your days and make sure you always have something to do even read a book until falling asleep, that way you don't have time to think those despairing evening thoughts. Finally I would like to add, if you feel brave enough, tell your parents what you're feeling, getting it off your chest sometimes takes the power out of it, plus it's good for them to know, and they can support you. Hope this helps. :D
    • Hey! We are all here for you and let me tell you, I've had to handle much worse situations, so I can tell you what I did: 1st: Be optimistic! Smile always! (even if not, inside you'll feel better , for some reason. I guess tricking your mind) 2nd: Listen only and only HAPPY music! Parodies maybe which you like. 3rd: Do sport! That helped me a lot. There were times when home wasn't safe, then it's good to be doing something useful instead of being emo :D
And you have an advantage: you've got bros to help :D
<--- Oh, you hate me son?
    • Dude DON'T commit suicide. It is never the answer to anything. It just cause more problems. Trust me, I used to be like you except for the GF part and the New school, but in the end I'm still here aren't I? Like what all the others have said, do something that will distract you even if it means to rewatch all of Pewdiepie videos. It's helps! Alternatively, if your school have counsellors, go talk to them. They are like your listening ear and they will help you as much as possible. PLEASE DO NOT COMMIT SUICIDE.
We bros are always here for you, so don't you worry, we bros can you solve your problem/help you as much as we can but for now try to do something and not commit suicide.
    • Dude, i know how you feel. Over summer my "best friend" totally backstabbed me and since school has started again, I've found it very difficult to find people I can hang out with and actually call my friends cause she was really the only one I've had for the past 3 years. Things at home are never eventful either. My dad really drives me up the wall sometimes, and my mom wont let me practice the ONE thing I want to do in my life. Drive. (yeah yeah yeahh future female F1 driver here like :D) Both of my sisters are away (one at college, one living in another part of the country) so i never have anything to do but homework or the internet (not complaining about the internet though :P) My life is just so boring and uneventful and in no way do I ever feel happy when I'm not talking to people either here, or on dA, FFn, the likes. I have thought about suicide too many times to be healthy (about an hour ago for example), and Itheres no doubt I'm depressed. Main reasons i haven't given into suicide yet: I'm a coward, and my sister is getting married next summer, I just couldn't put her through all that, let alone my family. Shit I'm crying now. I'm just trying to hang in there until college, where I will make a whole new start. The one thing I wanna do is to just get away from this place, move to Italy and start a whole new life. But I'm so unmotivated and uninspired I just feel like my life will go to ruins either way.

I'm really glad you gave other people a chance to talk here too, I really need to get all this off my chest in some way.

I've read other replys here and most of the stuff they are suggesting are things that I was already planning to do (like going to the gym, taking up a sport etc) and I'm really glad they seem to help other people.

Hang in there, if I can last this long then so can you. I really hope things start to go well for you, I used to never realize how difficult it is for someone to go through something like this.

      :3

That friend thing, don't "look" for friends like life is a facebook, friends WILL come, find people who have common with you, might be hard cuz most people are closed into themselves... Suicide won't sort out anything like others said.
Spend time with YOURSELF, after all that's the only person you can 100% trust ;).
I'm 23 on Halloween, I work as a System Administrator at ISP company, don't have many friends, like 3-4 and that's from company. I live alone, I play single player games, along with League of Legends. I'm just trying to say if you really can't find friends, you are your own friend or make online friends and stay in contact with them, they are people too. Many here might find me weird or w/e, but I can assure you I'm really nice and friendly despite my metal head looks ;P.
You are still young and you have much to live!

Dont even think about it. Dont escape your problems, face them and solve them.
Life is stressful, but its what you make it. Try to have a good outlook even if problems hit you, whatever they might be.
I'll be here if you want to talk to me, i'd gladly help anyone.
Enjoy your life to the fullest, dont let anyone get you down. Stay strong.

Couldn't agree more, all suicide does is hurt those around you and push them that little bit closer themselves :/

Playing my guitar and making music helps me to stop thinking about my depression, it also allows to express my feelings instead of bottling them up. Maybe you could start a hobby so life dosen't seem like a prison.

Same here, when I'm happy I play happy songs and when I'm angry I just shred death metal XD
Thing is not everyone can play guitar, music should be mandatory in schools IMO because whether they would enjoy it or not, employers are impressed that you have a patience to learn an instrument when looking at your CV and plus well... the ladies ;)

Edit: Also, the next generation need saving from listening to such shit that's produced from "artists" (and I use that term very loosely) these days

    • These are for ANYONE here. I used "you" to make the post sound more personal to the reader.
Write down a list of all the music you like to listen to and then go watch the music videos for them on YouTube. This'll keep you occupied and might help you discover some new music! Learn a new cooking recipe. Cooking always helps to relax me personally, and could be a good way to take your mind off things as you have to focus on the ingredients e.t.c. You also get to eat/drink something you've made for yourself. The feeling of making something awesome to eat that you yourself feel proud about is amazing.

Try going to a small independent cafe every now and again. If you go enough then you'll probably start to interact with the regulars there, and definitely the staff. It works better for them to bond with customers and get them to come back again! This could also let you try new things you wouldn't make at home and structure your days/weeks.

Maybe try volunteering for a charity or organization. This may seem like a lot of effort, but these can be extremely rewarding too. Especially if you are working with young people of whatever ages, you'll likely feel like you're giving something back which might make you feel better. This could also be a good chance to meet new people, who may become friends in time.

And remember, you are unique. You are a unique blueprint that that no-one can ever fully replicate. No-one will ever have the chances that you have in life, so make the most of them and take life as it comes.

      Stay Strong!

    • Hey mate.

      Firstly:

I'm not going to lie, watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic actually put me in a pretty good mood.
So... I'm going to recommend that.

I am going to have to say. YES! WATCH THIS AWESOME SHOW! It always leaves me in a good mood :)

      Also

I have had the same experience, well, not exactly, but the same anywayz.

Firstly, I was homeschooled ALL my life, up to year 11. When I hit year 11, I went a highschool.
      Totally new experience for me.
Now in year 12, I met this girl, and from what I've been told by my friends it was a "Its Complicated" relationship. :|
So, anywayz, after about 4 months, I wanted to suicide. I hated life. Hated my parents, hated school, hated the girl, hated all except for a two friends. So, I attempted suicide. Still got the damn mark on my neck where the 'noose' was. It hurt like HELL.

Anywayz, seriously, just watch some awesome movies, like My Little Pony. Damn good for your health, and your attitiude. Also, finding a friend who likes it to is one DAMN awesome feeling!

      Anywayz, yeah... just keep struggling.

OH - BTW - I made a topic once as well on another board about it. That was last year. Its STILL the most commented on topic, and has almost the MOST hits on a topic. I don't bother reading it now, as my attitude has improved of life. Its still damn hard, but I am squirming through it. You should to.

Is it just me, or does Inifity Ward like killing all the major 'roles' in their games, bar one?

Felix? Is this the same Felix i'm thinking of? :3

Alright, there's a quote i found very interesting. I took it from the Barnyard movie, it's a quote from Ben, the leader of the animals group in the farm. I think it's the first one he mentions in the movie, maybe? I think so.. Well, whatever..
