Well actually i don't enjoy them that much anymore, tho'.. I'm more into the Post Punk and Experimental Rock/Metal scene.
Like Holocaust(UK), Bauhaus, Joy Division, New Order and so.. This is what i listen to at most now. -
I'm getting more into the death metal/deathcore scene and groove/thrash scenes.

Joy Division;
New Order;
Bauhaus;
Siouxsie and the Banshees;
The Marked(Billy Corgan's former band).

There's too much softcore in so many scenes of punk. That genre in general just hurts me. I do not mean to offend you, I just don't like punk.

Hey, i can understand that, so don't worry, it's cool.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it. That's just some of my tastes. You like Death Metal, so keep that. Then i'll stay with the Post Punk, and the Gothic Rock stuff.
Btw, the dark energy on the Gothic Rock/Post Punk scene isn't just about the rhythm. It's on the messages, and they often make it look like a neurotic thing.. I just like it, who else knows? x) -

No, i don't know him. But i say this cause the rhythm and stuffs like that may seem different, but it's still the same dark atmosphere..
Although death metal has tendencies to brutality and more "gory" gutural screams, Gothic Rock still has all this dark energy. They just express themselves in a different way.
You see a "brutal devastating creeping death coming out unleashed.." That's death metal.
But then, you look at the "shadow" of Gothic Rock, and how you get it in your mind.. It's like "deep darkness and nothing else but sillence, still a rhythm is in there, luring you deeper and deeper.." That's gothic.
They both have the same dark energy. They just give it to you in different ways, if you know what i mean. Both are still dark, tho.. Just not the same gender, so they tend to have their differences..

I approve. I prefer the heavy, deep guttural growl and pig-squeal to most of that. I've dappled in if myself, rarely coming to success. Shits painful, even when done right.

I wouldn't call shit, there's a lot of meaning in there. But if you don't appreciate it, then feel free to join the death metalheads. I got some tastes from the death metal scene, but i don't listen to it that often. I got varied tastes, even thrash metal, and NWOBHM either.. Not expected from someone who also listens to death metal, but its okay for me.
There can be also Goth persons who appreciate Death Metal, or either some Death Metalheads who still appreciate something different sometimes, even Gothic, for example.
It's the persons, not just their "life style", nor their stereotype that determines who they are, nor what they like either.. They choose it by themselves, for themselves. -
I'm talking about how difficult it is to properly scream/growl, not calling it shit. I'll give it a shot, but I was saying how its neatly impossible to do a good growl. xD
