• Most of your favourite is mine too! *Excluding snot and hot chili peppers* But why did you said that it was strange for a 14 years old? The first metal/rock band that i loved is disturbed, and im 8 the first time i heard this band... This is pretty much the shit that saved me from the "New gen music"

If you're angry, don't break anybody's heart, they only have one..... Break their bones, they have 206 of them

Well, when I was young, my mom got married to a guy. He, honestly, was a pothead, low life, prick. Can't believe she let's my lil' bros see them.
Anyway, he listened to shit like ICP, Fallout Boy, and shit like that. I look back and I'm like "...Ew"
(Now, if you like any of these bands, don't be offended, I won't judge you.)
So, they divorced about 4 years later, and my mom, my brothers and I live with my grandma, and then my mom starts seeing this guy. He's really cool, caring, and shit. I didn't really have a music taste at this point.
Once they've been dating for about 6 months, we are driving in his car, and suddenly System of a Down comes on.
Amazed, I asked who they are. He tells me, and I immediately fall in love. He, and them, introduced me to the metal(And sub categories such as thrash metal, a little punk, death metal, glamour metal and such) genre. To this day, I listen to so many metal bands. Now, I still love other genres like folk, alternative, electronica, a little dubstep, rarely any country, but it happens. But, ever since I was 10, I've been in a metal craze. No matter what I said, or what I felt like, I'd always have to say SOAD is my favorite band. If I listed all of the best bands, I'd take days to post this, but these are my top metal choices.
System of a Down, Snot, Acid Bath, Alice in Chains, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Machine Head, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Other genres include AWOLNATION, mewithoutYou, Mumford and Sons, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and such.
I know, my music taste is strange for a soon to be 14 yearold, but, yeah. Fuck you. :) I would explain the qualities of SOAD, their political stance, why they are so powerful, and such. But, nah.
Bye.

That is basically all i read from your post.

For me, Dubstep is what i like, but i did like SOAD for a time, like you.

well, first, respect and support real music, and second, don't listen swag music, and third there's my list which i'm listening, and you probably should start liking some of these, for now start listening The rasmus lucifer's angel

B
Black Veil Brides
Blink 182

D
Disturbed

E
Eminem

Respect and support real music, you say... and yet you list BVB, Blink 182 and Disturbed.

I see three major flaws. I know you were replying elsewhere, but I'm personally strictly metal. Nothing but metal. BVB is trash and Disturbed is alt rock, not metal.
Eminem = Rap

He used to have focus but now, I don't see that anymore. He's more of a real person, but I think that the only good music he had was Slim Shady and Lose Yourself, that's it.

Blink 182 = Alternative

I don't really mind these guys, but I felt that their category needed to be stated. They're more of a radio band, anyway, like Nickle..........err, Eve 6, Guns 'n Roses, ACDC, etc.

Disturbed = Nu Metal

They are a type of metal but it's more like that radio crap that's on the airwaves. Metal under a technicality, similar to Avenged Sevenfold. Like I said before, you can put those guys on the radio and everyone is cool with it.

I'd consider A7X to be heavy, as their origins are the true heavy metal that is following in Lamb Of God's wake. Disturbed is alt. metal, to be nice, as they lack heavy and fast bass and harsh vox, which is what most metal bands have.

Also, if that's the case, that all metal played on the radio is dumbed down, then what about 5FDP?

Aside from that, the others mentioned are what I don't care about.

Indeed, but a lot from Nightmare is still as heavy as City Of Evil was. They've held that sound in Save Me, Natural Born Killer, God Hates Us, Danger Line and Nightmare itself, as they all retain that new American metal sound and feel.

I will always love them.

Al right i will give them a try but would recamond any of thier songs

Feeding Frenzy, Ataxia II, Solace and I, Blaspheme all by With the Ruins.

Death, Ascension, Resurrection all one title, Baptized in Filth and Murderer by Impending Doom.

For Lamb of God, just type their name in.
