Maybe make a few more posts before doing this, OP. Not really cool.

It really pushes my nerves for some reason when people join this forum JUST to try and beg for subscribers... I've not even been here that long but I've seen at least upwards of 20 people do it :\

If you make good content, find something you're good at and wait get a good reaction from someone before moving foward. Youtube is the same as being in a shop, the customer is always right. So if your fans like something, stick to it and your fan base will grow, I promise you. But YOU have to enjoy what you're doing aswell... Think of it as selling a crappy product (store reference again) if you don't act like you legitimately like it, then no one will buy it, see what I'm getting at?

    • Should also point out, and I do mean this nicely, that you're in a field of video-making with lots and lots (and lots) and LOTS of competition. This forum in particular is a key example, given all the other gaming channel ads similarly in this section, so there's really no surefire means to elevate yourself above anyone else here; I mean, if there was, everyone would be doing it, and anarchy would reign on the forums. Or, rather, I'd do it first and backstab everyone.

      Muahhahafearmypower.

All I can suggest is work on your content, find niches yet untapped- a particular game that is, perhaps, Let's Played not as frequently as others, that might develop an appreciative audience- and, to echo everyone else, don't go into a forum specifically asking for subs and views. Basically it makes you come across as a little desperate, which would make people who read it less likely to pay any attention.
You are getting sleepy.... you WILL go look at it...

Don't worry, not going to try and hypnotise you into subscribing. It'd just feel cheap. D:

Absolutely, the only way to get any youtube channel attention on this forum is to earn everyone's respect and they will check you out... I didn't get off to a great start when I first joined here, pretty much in my first hour everyone hated me, I got negative rep and I got an infraction (didn't read the rules properly) and I never posted any of my content until I had at least 30 posts I believe, somewhere around that...

    • I find this really funny when people just started their YT account and are already whining for views and subs. A channel needs to grow a bit before being enjoyed in my opinion. I started mine approximately at the same time as you Backflip; I have "only" 20 subscribers but I'm friggin' happy about it!
Have you seen a tea party taken to a whole
new level? Well my tea party features the usual stuff (tea, cake,
pastries...) mixed with video games, monsters, ghosts, blood and lots of
      screams and giggles.

Don't be shy and join the party, there's room for everyone! Here's the path to

    • "20. Don't play Slender" -- DON'T YOU DO THIS TO MEH OH GOD D: Haha.

Alright, not sure if the OP is still hanging around. Doubt it, but if he is, I'll expand a bit more on etiquette. I mean, maybe, OP, you're just very, very new to promoting yourself. So my opinion boils down to this:

Channel promotion is not take-take. Channel promotion is give-take. If you really just want to get out there and get noticed and you want to be respected, you have to make a name for yourself OUTSIDE of your channel. And going and doing a fly-by whoring via forums as you've done here won't help you. It will, as the posts above me should obviously show, just piss people off. Go and find common-ground LP videos; stuff you are interested in. I have, for example, really enjoyed connecting with other, horror-related LP'ers. There are a bunch of them on here and I love them and subscribe to them and support them as best as I can. I've done guest uploads for people, submitted content for THEIR videos, feature my favourites on my channel, done co-op gameplay, etc. Maybe you think this sounds hard, but really, aside from good for building relationships, it will bring people to your channel via other sources, instead of bringing them to your channel via posts like this (where people will already be coming out with a negative mindset because you don't follow etiquette).

So if you really want to do this, start over. Introduce yourself properly, comment around and get to know people. We will react all the more favorably to you!
