Talk with a lot of energy. Stay "Happy" In a way Talk with a lot of pep. Don't slop Down and be Boring. That's all i can say
-
Like with everything, practice makes perfect... I used to speak really slowly, shyly and un-confidently until after about 25-50 videos it would have taken a miracle to shut me up and chances are after a 15 minute video I'd still have stuff to talk about.
I've said to someone else asking more or less the same question, start off with a variety channel and see what you like to do the most or gets the most success and remember you can share your videos on this forum aswell! -
I rarely do this, but when I play a game, and I know there will be pauses and silence: Write a script.
Now, not one you read word for word. All I do is open NotePad and make bullet points os things I wanna talk about, updates, soon to be let's plays, funny jokes you thought about, etc.
Try that out. :) -
thnx everybody ill use its(thnx realy usefull) ill try it and publish my videos ...
-
Although sometimes I don't do this in my videos keep a loud enough voice and enjoy what you're playing. Also don't say "Um" a lot because well yeah. Just stay loud enough enjoy playing what you're playing and say exactly what you're thinking.

Very good piece of advice right there! I've done that on rare occasions too, but I mean very rare... Often I'll just emphasise what's happening in the video with sly comments and sex jokes if the scene REALLY is THAT dull XD

Maybe not EXACTLY what you're thinking if you have the attention span of a squirrel like me though ;p -

I find it fun to leave in bloopers and insane quirky comments I sometimes accidentally make, sometimes it can really make a video work for me for some odd reason O.o -
I used you advice at all thank you guys but in fraps its laggy i think i did now a video but the sound good and the video is like stuck...
when i view it it was before the rendering it should be like it or it should be a little clearly? -
Take in some sugar before doing your let's play just to add that kick to your overall energy. I generally make sure I have eaten something and drank a can of coke to keep me all "WHOOO!" when I am doing mine. It helps a lot
Also make sure you are playing a game you are passionate about. I have found it quite hard with my recent RE6 ones.

I know that feel... sometimes when you're halfway through an LP you get really sick of it and regret ever starting :\ sucks -
I can't wait to start God of War 3. I think most of mine will just be spent screaming "YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAH! WHOOOOOOOO! TAKE IT! TAAAAKE IIIIT!" :pThere is always time for muffins.

This is a good thread, since me personally, have started to do let's plays where I record myself and audio. I really feel that i'm not energetic enough but when I try to be, I get shy and embarrassed... Even though its just me!
-
It's as alot of people say, just make sure you have alot of energy about you!
It's the same as performing on stage, but just people can't see you. Actually weirdly enough I find moving about in my chair really helpful for keeping my voice and mind active when I'm recording
If you're having issues, try recording(or even just pretending to) something co op with a highly excitable friend in a skype call!So uh. I write -
Another good piece of advice would be to completely seclude yourself, if I can hear my parents or my sister walking about outside my room all of a sudden my voice goes really nervy and un-natural because of the fear that they'll walk in and ruin the commentary... I suppose on the plus side, hearing me talking to myself like a crazy person rules out anything else I could be doing with my door locked XD
hahaha oh god, I'm terrible :') -

Thats actually a really good point, when my ex had to record when I was there he made me go upstairs have a bath and watch stuff. But when we streamed together he was not alot like he is in his vids... it was very strange. So uh. I write -

I guess he just felt kinda weird about it?
It took me months and months to do a commentary with my ex but look at it this way... it could've ended up like this, or worse XD
But at least we was ourselves... that's what everyone's been saying is key to doing well on youtube, right? :p

Everyone start out as not very good commentator, but with constant commentaries in your videos you will improve and get better at it. I myself is also just like you, although I don't have any commentaries in my video now but soon it will come. However I did commentaries with my friend in our channel, whenever we play Co-Op games.! So yeah Be yourself, it's alright! As long you keep having fun in this, you will find yourselve becoming a better commentator
