Also if you can find a trustworthy second hand camera store, I highly suggest you get one from there, will cut how much you pay by at least 1/4 and you can purchase cover from them aswell.

For a camera I can recommend Canon EOS 500d, I've liked it a lot! It's pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it and the quality of the photos is obviously great.
It can shoot some HQ videos too, if you're into that. :3
