PostCongratulations man, now your game's gonna be famous!

Played it and was kind of dissapointed. I found it really short and clumsily. Basically it's just a bunch of randomly textured rooms with voices on the background, and I don't understand what's so innovative about this. I don't feel like much effort was put into this. I wouldn't be so dissapointed in this, but for a game what developer describes as "different" and "impressive", it's really nothing special. I don't feel like the developer listened to my feedback earlier, because I said the same t…

1.A great atmosphere (Various sounds, random events, scripted sequences, good design). 2.No jumpscares is good, but a rare & fitting jumpscare would be nice actually. 3.Fitting ambience. 4.An original concept, or an old concept filled with new ideas. 5.Hidden easter eggs or cool references. 6.A nicely done gameplay with some variety. The graphics doesn't matter to me, and sometimes, the plot doesn't matter too. The atmosphere is the main thing what makes a great horror game in my opinion. It tak…

Quote from grasmann: “I still don't really get what this is all about. I understand that the avarage PC-user was probably expecting a complete game. Well, I knew that it would be released as a beta. If the release is a beta it's just logical it doesn't have all the features. ” The description on steam didn't mention that the game is in alpha state. The information on the WarZ website still doesn't mention that, and it shows a lot of fake screenshots. So, basically, it just fools the customers. M…

Quote from grasmann: “ I can only guess that all this is caused by the DayZ-Community and everyone is just jumping on the bandwagon. I haven't played the game, so I probably don't have the right to have an opinion anyways. XD” The links in the first post explain why the game is hated so much. The main reason is the stupidity of the developers. I have read some of the posts by the lead programmer on WarZ forums, and this guys is really weird. I wouldn't trust him and his team.

Scary Ass Games
PostAfraid of Monsters is possibly the scariest mod/game I've ever played.

The War Z is the world's first survival mmo Zombie Game. You may have played Zombie Games before - now it's time to live one. Quoted from WarZ website. They didn't even removed the line after all throubles they went on. In my opinion, if the developers are lying to players, scamming them, quickly rushing the game to get money and not trying to put any actual effort to their work, they simply deserve to be hated. A lot.

What's so bad about pointing out the flaws? I'm not trying to be offencive or anything. Quote from peachvomit: “ That's not very helpful. ” You expect me to come up with a new title for this game?

Quote from Figerox: “"Dark" , or the forum title?” Dark, obviously.

I have to agree, there's a lot of poorly made indie horror games. There's a countless amount of Slender clones (collect things before he gets you), and some other games just try to scare you with a cheap jump scares (take a recent "hit" game Mental Hospital for example). And you know what's the worst thing about this? Some of these games become popular and overrated. One of the reasons is a youtube Let's Players who play every horror game no matter how bad it is and call it "OMFG THE SCARIEST GA…

The title is ultra generic.

Doesn't look "experimental", to be honest. I played "Insert Title here" and it was kind of interesting, though certainly not as experimental as I expected it to be. It was weird yes, but it wasn't a new experience for me. I mean, a bunch of randomly textured rooms isn't gonna make your game "experimental". It just looks kind of lazy and overly pretentious I'm really sorry if you're working hard on your games, but to me, it just looks like somebody put a little of effort into it and decided to ca…

So, what actually differences this game from most Slender clones? Does it have a decent storyline? Scripted sequences? A different monster mechanics? Does it replace the "collect N items to win" formula with something better? I see what it forces you to explore rooms and find different items (which is a nice improvement over Slender), but in the end, you still have to collect lots of keys (just like pages in Slender) to win the game.
