Intel is great for developing since you get a lot of extra cache combined with great clock frequency and cores while AMD can still be fair enough at a low budget. The easiest way to decide if a processor is good or not is by checking the amount of cache, number of cores, frequency at 2.5 is fair enough since you can easily overclock this if you want, it could be raised at least 1GHz higher with good stability!

If you try to only record gameplay sound (not your voice) you can record this separately by going to sound options and go on the record tab right click and "Show Disabled Devices" and enable stereo mix and make it default recording device. Use Audacity or Wavosaur or whatever to record the sound while you use fraps to record the video. Then import the sound and video into vegas and you should be good to go!

It would be legit having a video game to render the "levels" by some kind of a camera on the robot to initialize and calculate space to then program A.I into the robot and use electronic signals or pneumatic/hydraulic to get powered up from that point.
