Half Life 2 starts in city 17, where you've been portalled onto an inbound train to city 17 by the G-Man (kinda like your boss/owner) you set out to find out what's going on and you get picked up by your old friends from Black Mesa, you then set out on stopping the Combine overrule (the bad guys) it can be a bit of a slow start but that's mainly cos it's showing off the new gaming engine to show the massive development from the original half life. Half Life 2 is an amazing game when you give it …

Changing psu
Requiem - - Technology
Postgeneral rule when getting a PSU is make sure you have plenty of Watts, get the best you can afford and you should be safe, if you go for 800W to 1000W you will be fine plus it should leave you some Watts free just incase in the future you decide to upgrade further. If you don't have enough Watts available for the hardware then your pc will be under powered and it'll just shut off when it hits it's limit which could damage the components. Get the best you can afford and try to get around 800W. Th…

thanks for the help bro, i've read so much random rubbish off the internet saying completely stupid or irrelevant information, nice to have someone who actually knows what they're on about. Think i'll keep to what i've got, graphics aren't everything and the game is amazing no matter what level of detail. At least this will save me from wasting money on something that probably wouldn't have worked. I'll look out for a cheap nvidia graphics card just to smooth out my performance rather than get t…

i originally wanted a graphics card that would smooth out my pc's performance, freeing up the cpu usage and ram that is being used up as virtual graphics memory, screen recording is a recent idea of mine but not essential. At the moment i'm running 64MB of virtual graphics memory so i play Black mesa on lowest spec and at times it struggles at that, so the 1GB HD6450 graphics card should allow me to play the game to it's full potential but as i can see it won't let me try out screen recording, m…

It's a Dell Optiplex 760 (small form factor) i would say it's about 4 years old maybe 5 at most. It's capable of recording smoothly with BB Flashback Express but as soon as it loads up Black Mesa Source the recording goes blank, tried every setting but nothing has worked so i guess i either need to get a graphics card or give up. I'm not planning on playing any high spec games, Black Mesa Source is about as high as i would go, my pc is perfect for what i use it for, only reason i play Black Mesa…

i thought this would be the case, my pc was never originally intended for gaming, it only just copes with Black Mesa Source, lags like crazy when anything detailed like smoke appears. I'm thinking of getting a graphics card but i can't see much point if the rest of my hardware can't cope. at the moment i'm running on: Pentium Dual Core E2200 @ 2.2GHz 4GB DDR2 RAM Integrated Intel GMA 4500 I'm looking at getting an Asus HD6450 1GB Silence Low Profile graphics card.

I'm looking for a screen recorder so i can record gameplay footage, i'm looking to record Black Mesa Source on steam, so far i've had no luck with BB Flashplayer Express and PC Hand Screen Recorder, the game just gets recorded as a black screen. The screen recorder must be free and needs to be able to record from onboard graphics cos i don't have a graphics card, also needs to be relatively light cos i don't have a high spec pc. thanks in advance bro's *brofist*

Half Life series is my all time favourite, so disappointing that they stopped where they did, really hope they sort out a half life 3. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favourite game stories, the interaction and decision making with the in depth story with so many perspectives just makes it so perfect, only issue is the gameplay gets a bit repetitive with the fact that pressing against a wall and shooting around the corner pretty much solves every combat situation. Halo series is another f…

I saw a picture in google images and thought... da f%#$ is dat, spent ages trying to find out the name of it, then spent ages trying to find if there was a free version for Linux cos i was on Linux Mint at the time, ended up with Minetest which is practically the same but maybe with a few differences.... i guess i can't really say i played mincraft then
