The footage you record there is raw footage, of yourse it has a big filesize. You have to edit this then in a Videoeditor, like Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere etc. You put the footage together and render it, which means it get's compressed and then you normally end up with a 200-400MB sized video, when it's around 15minutes.
