I know this probably isn't what you're looking for seeing as I'm not going to recommend a program. But personally I use Windows Movie Maker to record my sound and webcam footage, I just start it before the game, have fraps opened, then when I'm ready to start I look at the cam and say "3, 2, 1" then press the fraps hotkey for capturing video. That gives me a point when I'm editing to cut the webcam footage and then sync it easier up with my fraps footage. I know it isn't software I recommended, …

I personally use Fraps and love it, you can try it out for free, but I suggest buying it if you're going to use it for Let's Play. It isn't stupidly expensive.

Thanks for the reply! I don't have a seperate camera at the moment, but I might eventually acquire one. For the moment not splitting up the Fraps footage at 4gb seem to have close to removed the delay/missing footage issue.

Most definitely, yes. I talk to myself while playing games, on where to go, what to do, things I should have done better, which can get a bit out of hand..But heeey, if you argue with yourself at least you win the argument no matter what.

Helloo, I know there's a lot of Let's Players on this forum and I'm hoping one of you might have some tips/suggestion on how to help me out. I'm rather new to Let's Play, but I capture game footage and audio with Fraps, and my webcam + mic with Windows Movie Maker. The issue is then when I edit I and try to link up Fraps with my Webcam footage I'll always have too much webcam footage, even after cutting the excess.
