I've been blundering through GIMP learning all sorts of fun stuffs with it. I'd imagine that photoshop is far more convenient though. Is there a free version that is decent?

Anyone have any experience with such a feature? I use GIMP 2.8 and I cannot find a way to implement this type of feature to reduce the size of my animated GIFs to make them more Tumblr friendly. It seems as though any animated gifs over 1mb just turn into a frozen frame on tumblr, hence removing the point of it being animated.
