  • Alienware - opinions?

If you want a computer for games buy a stationary PC. Also Alienware is overrated and their stuff is overpriced.

Being as they are the intel 3370 and 4770 are very similar and overclocking is increasing the default frequency of a CPU or any other PC part (GPU, RAM) which makes the CPU work faster and better, but it's kinda dangerous if you're not very familiar with tech stuff and how to adjust power consumption.

I would go for #1. Although #2 is very nice but the GTX 660 is way more powerful than the GT 640. That's the only reason why #1 is better. If #2 had that GPU then I would definitely choose #2. GT 640 GTX 660

  • With such little activity and contribution (only 3 posts) don't expect people to help you. So my advise would be to be more active post some posts/threads and show up a few times on the shoutbox so people can get to know you better.

  • The forum is being quiet because most people around here are having their finals very soon so they are studying and finishing up unfinished schoolwork stuff. (I know I have to) Pretty soon the drama, comedy, rage and randomness will be back just you wait! :cursing:

  • Recording: Bandicam for screen recording. Logitech webcam software for occasional facecam recording. Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5 Headphones: Phillips headphones (dunno which ones, they're pretty good) Microphone: Zalman ZM MIC1

  • Good recording programs !

Bandicam is better. It uses much less resources and produces a much smaller file size (because it compresses it) than FRAPS.

I suggest GRID 2 for PC. It's pretty nice.

Quote from HoulyOwly: “It's Russian game, you have come to the wrong forest :v” It's developers are Russian but the game itself is pretty international.

  • I don't see the problem with filming yourself when using Windows XP. You just need a program to use your webcam, preferably one that is made by the same company the webcam is made of but there are many universal programs too. Only problem with using Windows XP is that you won't be able to play all of the newest games since a lot of them require Windows 7 and up to play.

  • Screem Recorder - Which one?

    MadKlauss - - Help

I suggest using Bandicam. It doesn't produce the overly huge file size of Fraps and it has more configuration options.

  • In my opinion Fraps is a shitty program. It uses way too much CPU power and the file size it gives it is way too large. I use Bandicam and it automatically detects DirectX/OpenGL games or you can select a rectangle area for it to record.

  • The best game ever?

Well I'm a big fan of strategy games like the Total war games. Since I haven't played Total war: Rome 2 yet my favorite game till now is Medieval 2: Total war! Nothing beats the sight of a knight in full plate armor charging in with his sword in the air.

I use the Zalman Mic 1. :p It's cheap but quite good for a small microphone.

  • Help on Xsplit please?

    MadKlauss - - Help

    Post

If you don't like Fraps, try Bandicam. It compresses the file, so the output file is much smaller than Fraps's file and it has more options for you to fiddle with.

There are plenty of tutorials on youtube to help you setup Xsplit, but personally I suggest OBS (Open Brodcasting Software). It's much simpler in my opinion.
