DO NOT get SteelSeries products, I had a Sibera V2 headset and had nothing but problems with it. Their customer service SUCKS. Seeings as the warranty was 1 year and they broke after 6 months, I sent them a ticket asking for a repair, it was authorised, I sent it, got a receipt and took a photo of it, emailed it to them. Razer Kraken's are really good sound quality, and the mic on the pro's isn't too bad if you're just starting out.

Honestly, you sound young. Don't move anywhere until you're sure it's what you want to do. Get some skills that set you apart from anywhere else and that'll help, and at least know a little Swedish.

Ram upgrade (for dat speed, mainly) and good lord how do you live with two monitors of different resolutions? I have a second monitor that's a different res I plug in pretty much only for streaming to whack the chat and xsplit on and it bugs me even then! Also Windows 8 is a fairly nice OS once you're used to it.

If you CAN be in a quiet environment, I'd actually suggest Kraken Pro's. They're not too expensive and fairly decent. The sound quality is amazing! (I know you said that's not important, but it's a lovely plus.)

Honestly, you're WAY better off just buying a Blue Yeti microphone and a standard $20 pair of headphones. It'll last you longer and you won't have as many troubles with BG noise if you get a screen. In terms of headsets, just look for "Unidirectional", and do your research on the customer service.
