It's an issue on YouTube's side - they're having issues with the feeds again. All of his latest videos are still "sending to subscriber feeds". Not much you can do about it other than waiting for Google to fix it sadly. In the meantime you can either check his channel directly or the forums for new video threads, we're pretty much uptodate.

Generally seen people reply to each others comments a lot, but from what I can see the video thread posts are mostly filled with standalone comments directly to the video. Most people are too lazy to read through all the pages of comments. ;D However, there is plenty of other ways to interact with people on here, more than YouTube offers. It's because people are lazy. A lot of people either just read or they don't click the links, and even though you can just login with Google some people may still be too lazy to do that. The idea of a plugin that allows you to comment on here under a youtube video by replacing the YT comment section was thrown around but that could also end up being counter productive allowing more spam again.
