  • I'm yet to play either game, but I've seen short clips from both and I think I'm liking Outlast more. Still going to give both of them a try though

Hope you guys find it useful If you notice no change in the time, I've heard some people fare better in changing the value to a higher number instead of 0.1, though 0.1 has apparently been working best)

Quote from KattStrike: “Quote: “What is more bizarre are all the people with just one post who entered. You would think there would be a post requirement, or something.” But isn't that the point :p? It's great advertisement for Pewds' forum without him going "check out my forum!" Haha! I mean I never even knew that he had a forum! I joined for the competition and stayed because I like chatting to people in forums (And everyone here has a mutual love for the Pewdster so that's even better!) Sent …

Looking forward to playing this one, looks pretty good

  • Does it look much better in post? I've played around the 30 - 60 - 90 settings here and there for recordings and haven't really been noticing much of a difference. Does it depend on the game you play? Admittedly, I don't have much professional experience >.>

Here's a short guide on how I set it: MAKE SURE YOUR EDITING/RENDERING PROGRAM IS ALREADY RUNNING 1. Start program 2. Select the left most button (computer with magnifying glass icon) 3. From the list, select your running editing/rendering program 4. From the right-most menu, select "Enable Speedhack" 5. When the Speed option appears, replace the current value with 0.1 6. Select Apply 7. Leave CheatEngine running and begin your render That should do it

  • Can't really say about webcam since I'm yet to use it for gameplay. However, when I record gameplay (and I use Fraps on Windows 7) there are a few things I do to help FPS. Turning off all the unnecessary processes, turning off any firewall/antivirus (make sure to be offline), setting my Fraps to 30FPS for recording, and then, depending on whether or not I still get lag, I'll start turning down settings on the game itself, like resolution, detail and so on.

Had a look at your channel to see what you meant. I wouldn't worry. My videos normally get between 1-3 dislikes each. Sometimes it's just a random person trolling. Sometimes it's someone who genuinely didn't enjoy it and so disliked it, as is their right. Ultimately it doesn't matter so much. You still get the view (if you're monetized and you care). If you find, however, that you get more dislikes then likes, then it might be a question of quality that you need to improve, which some people are…

I'm thinking of putting together my first on-camera LP and I was hoping to get a few recommendations in terms of webcam recording software? Does anyone use any third-party (preferably free) software you could suggest?

And you don't even get paid for this. That's what I call dedication. xD” Yeah, seriously, that's a ton of work. Props. O_O

That's a tough one. I think wealth beyond all reason for 15 years. Travel back to ancient times and be a peasant, poor and at the mercy of your land Lord's whims or Travel back to ancient times and live as a political aristocrat, you and your loved ones always in danger of assassination.

The only two games I ever flat out quit were Clive Barker's Jericho and Borderlands. Couldn't keep interest in either. The first being especially sad since I love Clive Barker.

Yep, I set the priority too and I try not to run any processes I don't need. In combination with the program, it normally does it pretty fast

I can't say based on experience, but I have to assume it works the same way because when you start the program, it asks you to choose which (running) program you want to focus on. So if you have Vegas Pro running, you should see it in the list as well.

Just wanted to offer up a free little program I ran across that's really helped me cut into the HD rendering times for Premiere Pro (particularly if you have a slower computer and want to work on 1080p). It's called "Cheat Engine" and basically helps to focus your computer's resources to one exclusive running program (in your case, Premiere) to help speed up the process. It's help me cut hours off my rendering. Helps a ton. Here you go: http://cheatengine.org/downloads.php Edit: Some of you aske…

If time consumption is the issue, you could always make a reserve of review videos (or indeed, any form of video) that you can then release regularly. Take a month to do nothing but make videos, don't upload anything. Then release them (at say 1-3 a week or something) while working on more, constantly adding to the reserve while keeping a regular upload pace going.

I'd like to save up for them. I ordered the Oculus Rift development kit some time ago and have seen some really nice results via a combination of the two. My dream combo would be the Rift, Hydra, and Omni. The test plays look amazing.

  • There are several ways to get around both rendering and upload times if you have a slower connection. I use Premiere Pro to edit and render my videos, in combination with Cheat Engine to then focus all my memory on rendering, which cuts down the time considerably. Then you can use a program like Handbrake to shrink the size without reducing the quality for faster uploading!

Amnesia just never gets any less scary, no matter who I watch playing. Prety good quality, though I would suggest you leave in stuff like the introductory scenes and such for people that haven't played the game and want to see the full experience!
