Was taking your reply seriously up until you started lying. You got muted for insulting a mod in chat. Also, muting the source of the problem is ultimately the best solution, especially since that particular source likes to talk & start flame wars. The prime example being this bloody thread.

Scroll down until you see your current name and change it to whatever you want ( as long as the name follows basic rules and doesn't contain profanity , etc). Note: you can only change your name twice every year (~168 day cool down in between name changes)
