I had just finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent, while I had seen other people's scary reactions to parts of the game I stumbled upon pewdiepie's playthrough while browsing for more videos like the previous ones I had seen. I ended up watching all his parts of game even though I had just completed it, and I was hooked ever since. He was also coincidentally the first youtuber I ever subscribed to, which opened my eyes for the whole youtuber/subscriber feature as well.
