Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World, MegamanX and X2, Addam's Family, Donkey Kong 2, Crash Bandicoot, FFVII etc.... Good times!

Try Terraria. It's a 2D sandbox game and very addicting. I even like it better than Minecraft. You can get it on Steam at least.

It's still on my wishlist but I plan to buy it when it's on sale. But my friend showed it to me and it seemed pretty interesting. Luring the monsters away with meat was a bit pointless and annoying though.
