Rate my laptop?
PostThe gap between desktop and laptops is closing, but a desktop will still give you much more power per dollar compared to a laptop; so after your final's, buy a new desktop (or a laptop for portability if you really prefer/need the portability factor).

Rate My Laptop
PostThis is a pretty nice laptop! I am just going to guess that it is part of the ASUS RoG series? Either way, the only real recommendations I have is to get a 760m if possible to handle the resolution better on higher end games, a 7200RPM hard drive instead of 5400, and a bigger SSD, at the very least 64GB or higher. Otherwise it is a really nice laptop.

rate my PC?
PostBuy less RAM and get a 660 or 760 instead, that much RAM is pretty much useless unless you are doing hardcore editing or turning it into a server.

Gaming PC help!
PostMore RAM is recommended, but you really do not NEED 12gb or more RAM to do video editing. Also to Thelo, I REALLY do not recommend buying from Origin as if any pre built PC is to be ever considered overpriced, then it is Origin by a (fairly) long shot. An I7-4770K with a GTX 770 2gb build costs around $2000, which is horrible since you can build a PC at around the same price for $1150; give or take.

Gaming PC help!
PostAs everyone (and myself) has said that building one yourself will save you a lot of money, but if you want to go with Cyber Power PC, it is your choice after all. I found a PC build that is $1077 with an AMD FX-8350, GTX 760 2 GB , a 2 TB 7200RPM hard drive, 8GB 1866Mhz RAM, 64GB SSD for the operating system, windows 8 64bit, a 650 watt Thermaltake Gold rating PSU, etc. It also comes with Assassin's Creed Black flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. But; I found a custom built with pretty much ident…

Alienware - opinions?
Fruken'Fracker - - Other
PostI bought one a few years ago before I knew much about PC's and honestly, I do not believe they deserve as much hate as they receive, yes they are "overpriced" but every single pre-built out there is compared to building your own. Now, as you say your are on a low(er) budget, I recommend Acer or ASUS based off of my previous experience with them. I'll look into finding a Laptop for around 500 USD, along with this, I am guessing you are from the U.S. (not trying to be a creep, but different websit…

PostI would definitely get #1, why? Because the 660 is so much better than the 640, here is a little power comparison between the two: hwcompare.com/13298/geforce-gt-640-ddr3-vs-geforce-gtx-660/

I was looking at reviews for Headsets that looked "fairly" decent and the Perixx AX-2000 was rated pretty well amazon.co.uk/Perixx-AX-2000B-G…eywords=gaming+headset+pc and the Creative HS800 Fata1ity was rated fairly high for the price range as well, amazon.co.uk/Creative-Fatal1ty…eywords=gaming+headset+pc I have not tested either of them, but the reviews on Amazon, Youtube and other places said they were good for the price. EDIT: I am also basing these off of sound quality, and not-so-much the …

Gaming PC help!
PostIf you can, I would recommend building a PC as they are really not that hard to do, and will save you a large amount of money. I spent about 1200USD on my PC and well... these are my specs: My PC specs are: I5-3570K @ 3.8 GHz. ASUS GTX 770@1200Hz, 8Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM, Rosewill ThorV2 Tower, 850w Corsair CXM PSU, ASUS P8Z77 motherboard, and a 1TB WD Blue Hard drive. With 1300USD limit, you can get an even better setup. Places to buy parts: Newegg, PCPartPicker is really good for comparing p…

Anyone know this?
Fruken'Fracker - - Help
PostQuote from StealthBound: “Well I don't know but I'm pretty sure he has Windows 7. And in case you didn't know, he built his own computer with good specs. His computer might be good, but there's computers out there which would make his computer look like a door-holder. An example might be this” I'm sorry, but the only thing that PC build has over his is the 1TB HDD, otherwise his I7 930 blows that CPU out of the water completely (at least, when it comes to video/ photo editing), His 460 is better…

"When you feel like letting go, remember why you have held on for so long." "If you fall behind, run faster. Never give up, never surrender, and rise up against the odds.” “Never give up. And never, under any circumstances, face the facts.” “Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.” “Don’t give up. There are too many nay-Sayers out there who will try to discourage you. Don’t listen to them. The only one who can make…
