nah not really i mean lets take sonics abilities and marios in consideration (and smash depends on the skill of the player) ignoring luck sonic would have advantage over mario phisically but hes not as tough as mario, plus mario is far more resoucefull in powerups than sonic. But i do believe sonic would win since most of his power ups are about defense and he alredy has superior speed and stamina
