Well knowing that I'm shy by nature I'd just probably look at them from afar, and if they happen to look my way I'd smile at them and probably let them live their lives. Or if I feel chatty and they seem like they wanna talk with fans I'd maybe show up and talk a but with them about everything and nothing, and also ask for a picture. I really agree with you. I feel like the videos are shorter than before, due to the fact that he "absolutely" wants to make 2 videos per day, to keep entertaining people. Maybe he got a whole lot more of subscribers when he began to make jokes 24h/24 etc, that's maybe the main reason he wants to keep doing jokes and be entertaining instead of playing to show us the games: maybe he thinks that people are here only to see his reactions, see him play and that maybe most of them don't care that much…

When I'm sad or something, I do my best not to think about it, in a certain "I dont fucking care about what's happening" way of thinking. Also I spend my days on YouTube to watch non-sense videos that make me laugh, watch movies, talk with people from here is also a good way to forget about your IRL problems.
