More often then not I just stretch the video past the black bars in sony vegas but for some games (Heavy Rain being a good example) the black bars should stay where they are due to quality and you could use the frame thingy for that :p It's a good idea!

Eh, there's worse things in life than a really bad, glitchy, corny horror game... Like Justin Bieber's music...
