I'm not a pro here, just saying what I think. It sounds like there is a problem with the connection, I get the same sound when my Mic Plug is only half way in. Check the Cables and the Mic Jack (Or whatever your Mic is plugged into). Otherwise use Google.

For a Name: Think of Stuff that you like, or words you find cool. Mash them together and you might get a Cool Name! For Example: You like Potatoes, and like the word Bong (if thats even a Word lol). Its your choice I don't know much about Camcorders. I personally prefer DSLR. But they both look good.

I am a hobby Filmmaker and I would say, if you want to do Comedy Shorts and/or Films, definetly go DSLR. With your budget I would suggest the Canon EOS 600D. The EOS Series is great, and the 600D even has a Flippable Screen (I think). I was bullied in 3rd Grade by this guy. One day he was running up to me from behind, probably to kick me in the ass, but I did SOME MEGA EPIC MATRIX MOVE (srsly, I am not shitting you) Which made him fly over top of me and land 2 metres in front of me flat on his face. Hi, I recently recorded an Amnesia Lets Play and edited it in Sony Vegas. Now I want to render it, so I open Vegas Movie Studio and nothing happens. After 15 Minutes, the Sony Vegas MS Window finally opens, but only the Video player is shown, the Rest is white.
