If you're on PC, and you want to do the same thing , well. He uses premiere which is a top-notch video editing software but it requires some skill. (well all of them does). For only that, Sony Vegas would be easier thanks to it's friendly interface, but it's not as reliable as the premiere. Well that is kind of a hard question. I think buying an already used one can't hurt. I did that in the past. Try to find a website where you can buy used cards. If everything else is a beast in your pc, then type the name of the videocard you're planning to buy, on youtube and see for yourself if it's worth it. Not sure if I helped. good luck!
