Pretty sure it's a spammy scam. You Google Pagerank is decided by many things, one of the big ones being how many websites actively link to your site. Could be someone trying to spread malware/get attention/or build domain names quick then selling them wholesale. There are many ways to make money off of the internet, and 99.9999% of those ways are scams/spams.

I have wonderful experiences with Xvid MP4 during the render. Also, if you use a D3D screencap (Like FRAPS or Dxtory), TURN IT OFF WHILE IN VEGAS. In fact, turn all screencaps off.

Lol I took some acoustic foam off of an old set of headphones and twist-tied it around my shitty mic. Not only does it kill noise really well it also dampens my breathing a whole lot. Quiet rooms make clear recordings.

I can't suggest anything specific, but I do my facecams with an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam. Works fine unless you want your facecam in HD. Besides if you're just starting out I wouldn't go blow a lot of money on this stuff, it can get expensive. You can also record your facecam with a cheap handicam. Food for thought.

I'll make this short and sweet: I record my gameplay to my shitty HDD, at around 42 MB/s, which can record most footage in 720p at the native 29.97 FPS. I record my facecam to an external USB HD, with USB 2.0, at around 22 MB/s in 480 at the native 29.97 FPS. (USB 2.0 has a standard write speed of around 22 MB/s) With this atmosphere I do not bottleneck at my HDD trying to record two separate streams. And by the way for those who do not know, MB stands for MegaBit, not MegaByte.
