You can use bandicam as alternative for fraps. It automatically seperates your in-game sound and mic sounds.:)

I got shitty sounds whenever I convert my vids with handbrake. My voice is not but the in-game sound is. It's not that noticeable at first but when you listen closely, the voice of the charactes has a little bit echo and such. I'm using the AAC(Faac),stereo, 48hz, 224bit

How huge is the capacity of your HDD? And based on your PC, it's also old. LGA775 is Pentium right? So it's still on IDE or SATA. Which makes your PC a bit slower than it should be. About the PSU, it doesn't make a difference in performance. but it does make a difference on HOW LONG YOUR PC WILL RUN. How long it will be stable. The PSU is the power of your PC, if it fails, it may damage your components. So it really needs to be good.
