  • Banner and avatar help

    mfpwnsall - - Content Creation

    Post

Hey guys! Let me start off by saying I have gone through almost 20 different banners in the past year and I was wondering what I should stop at for a little while. I'm not just going to make something that I like, but something that will reflect positively on the fanbase and community. If you want to see my current banner, which I made myself, you can go to my channel at youtube.com/mfpwnsall. Others I've gone through are very different, but I have a few on my Facebook page if you want to check …

  • build-computer or alienware?

    Post

Build your own PC over everything else. It's much cheaper to buy the parts and assemble, and you're not paying extra for the brand. DON'T get a Mac for gaming. Recording with it is ok, and doing editing is fine, but most games can't be played on it and it's much better if you get a PC.

  • Which is your favorite horror game?

    mfpwnsall - - Other

    Post

My favorite horror game is Amnesia: The Dark Descent because of the developed and deep storyline, graphics, atmosphere, soundtrack, and its own SDK for custom mods. Other than that, Slender:The Arrival or L4D2 (does that count?).

  • Suggestions on my comp?

    mfpwnsall - - Technology

    Post

Quote from okyleokyle: “What are my possible choices on my Graphics card?I don't know much about compatibility. Thanks!” I definitely think getting something slightly better like a 7870 or GTX 760 ti would be one step up from what you have now. If you want even better (you're gonna have to spend a little more cash), go for something like a GTX 770 or 7970. Good luck!

Hmm... Very nice! I prefer SANIC EVENCHUR TOO though.

  • I think having a good audio quality in videos will help the growth of your channel. For my setup, I use an Audio-Technica ATR1200 ($20) with a standard mobile pop-filter ($3), a desk stand to hold the mic up ($35), and an ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Sound Card ($30). In overall, it sounds amazing after effects are done to the audio with audacity. I use it for all of my newer videos and I've never been happier with the quality. Good luck!

  • Donation link

    mfpwnsall - - Help

YouTube would definitely allow a donation link. Anything that links to a website or image that contains pornographic content, racial discrimination, IRL violence, or overall non-appropriate content, YouTube will warn you about it and remove the link.

Great build! I wish my PC could match yours lol. I suggest a GPU upgrade in the future, a GTX 660 isn't gonna last you much longer

I use an HD7770 for all my videos along with an i3 3225. I don't see the need for you to overclock your CPU, but your GPU can be overclocked around 200Mhz for slightly better performance. Good luck!

Definitely go for Screenflow. It's really easy to use and doesn't lag when you record. I use it for all my Mac gameplays.

  • I use Premiere Pro CC to edit all my videos. For my microphone, I use an Audio-Technica ATR1200 with a mobile pop filter. Also, I animated my Intro and Outro with After Effects, and since you already have it, you try looking up some tutorials on how to make some cool intros with it. Beware the long render times! Good luck!

  • do you know any good free horror games?

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

Try finding some indie horrors online! They're everywhere, and it's always a good thing to play something no one has done before. If you're looking to buy something, definitely get Amnesia (either game) or Outlast. Also, you can get Ju-On: Thr Grudge for free online anywhere for the Dolphin Emulator on PC (which is also free). Hope this helps!

  • Editing Videos

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

Felix uses Adobe Premiere Pro CC, as do I for video editing. I export in 720p usually in H.264 @ a 8mbps bitrate. I absolutely HATE using Sony Vegas. If you prefer it, go with that. I recommend using a trial of Premiere and see how it works for you. Have fun!

  • Video size

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

I keep my videos around 15 mins long, and I set the bitrate to 8 so the file size isn't too much (around 700mb). That's around the normal size for videos like this. I either export in 1920x1080 (1080p) or 1280x720 (720p). Good luck with your channel!

  • Audio Recorder

I use Audacity for everything Try using it and record at 4800Hz. Also, add some effects in post-recording. Do compression, normalization, equalization (boost low frequencies with bass boost) and add 8dB of bass with 4dB of treble. This should make your recording sound amazing

  • Trying to make a decent gaming channel

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

It's wonderful that you want to start a gaming channel! I built my desktop gaming PC for $375 and it's pretty much running BF4 at Ultra settings recording at 30fps. It's just perfect for youtube. Look in my bio to see my specs. Also, don't spend too much $$ for equipment when just starting off on youtube. Try gradually buying things over time as you grow in subscribers. Also, you're gonna need a decent editing software to use. For future reference, I recommend Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Start off wi…

  • Intro Maker

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

For my intro, I created an original one using Adobe After Effects CS6. It was all custom animation & took a long time to make. I don't use it that much, but you can find it in some of my videos. It was around a 1hr render time. Have fun!

  • I use Fraps to record video and Audacity to record sound (at 96000Hz). My PC Specs are: Intel Core i3 3225 3.3Ghz Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 OC'd 1050Mhz MSi Z77a-G41 1TB HDD 7200RPM 8GB RAM @ 1333Mhz ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Surround W7 Home Premium 64-bit For my recording setup, I use a desk stand that holds an Audio-Technica ATR1200 with a mobile pop filter.

  • Help With Starting a Gaming Channel

    mfpwnsall - - Help

    Post

There's no problem with it, dude! You can probably make some decent videos at a somewhat nice framerate at 1280x720. Try recording with Fraps and record with Audacity at 48000Hz. I used to use 4gb of RAM to record & edit, and it was just enough for me. Go for at least a GTX650 or higher if you want to make more quality videos in the future. Have fun starting your channel! Maybe we can do a video together sometime
