When you share videos on Facebook, the views you get are not 100% watched views. Whenever you scroll through your newsfeed and scroll past a video, that counts as a view.
I have a channel with 35 something thousand + subscribers, and YouTube i way harder from Facebook, but ones you can do it on YouTube, then you can think of making a living.
What I like to do is always put small trailers or clips of a video or a vlog, and tell the audience "Whole video right here: *Link to video*" which does help get the viewers to watch your YouTube channel.
