Mother 3 was originally released in Japan but was later translated into English by fans of the game. In Mother 3, you play as a young boy named Lucas with his younger brother. Something is going on in the woods when an alien race arrives, starts burning the forest, and starts transforming all the animals into robotic animals. Lucas and friends then set out on a quest to stop these aliens from destroying the rest of the planet. During the course of the game, you play as multiple characters such as Lucas, his father, his father's friend's son, and so forth.
