      About Me

      Hello Pewdiepie forums. My real name is Scott, not Scootah (Obviously). I got the name Scootah from my childhood nickname Scooter. When creating my channel I was rather picky about my name, and in the end I settled on Scootah. Anyway, I teach Martial Arts for a living, I've been in Martial Arts for twenty two years, and it will always be my passion. I run the business end of the school, and I'm also the head instructor (with my father as the figurehead). I've been playing video games since the NES, I remember playing Super Mario Brothers with my brother, and I also use to watch him play Final Fantasy. I decided to start a new youtube channel because I miss producing Let's Plays and various other videos. I've put a lot of time and energy into this in the past. I hope you enjoy my new youtube channel. I've created a new personality just for youtube. I put a lot of pride in my ability to do different voices, and despite the fact that I am rusty (especially when it comes to reading out loud) I have put a lot of effort into the videos in my channel.


      Your age: 26 (I really am. I just sound young.)

      Genres*: Everything. I will play any type of game, I don't restrict myself. If I want to play it, then I play it.

      Your time doing this*: My Youtube Channel is one week old. But I've been producing Let's Plays and a ton of other videos for over four years (No you can't see my old work :P )

      Future events/plans you have*: I have nothing planned at the moment. However I would like to do a twenty four hour gaming marathon for charity some day. I want to donate to the Ronald McDonald house. It's thanks to them my brother and his wife had a home for a month when my nephew was born with gastroschisis.

      Description of your channel*: I do Let's Play videos on my channel. Although I call them "Scootah Plays". My videos are often silly and lighthearted, I try my best to be funny and entertaining. My comedy is more improv, and I approach each video like I am acting. The person you hear is not the real me, but the persona I created for the channel. My character is always growing and evolving. I hope one day I can entertain a lot of people like Pewdiepie. I do this because I love doing this, and I hope that shows in each and every video I make.

      Final Comments - I am open to constructive criticism. I believe there is always room for improvement in everything you do. I always strive to improve myself and my videos. I am open to doing crossovers at some point. If you are interested in doing one the best thing to do is to pm me on youtube.     • Hello! I think you're doing a great job about managing your persona - from what I've seen, you've managed to project your personality without being annoying about it. That balance is not easy, so kudos!

      I would recommend that you get a better microphone. I'm not an expert on this by any means (I use a Turtle Beach headset), but if you can reduce the amount of ambient noise you're picking up, that would be great. Cheers!

      The biggest problem is that damn bird. It isnt mine, because I would have killed it by now if it was. I am trying to figure out a way to better soundproof my room during recordings because I am getting rather irritated by it.

    • Huh, that's supposed to be a pretty good microphone - my friend uses it, and he sounds good. I wasn't thinking so much about the bird (I have 3 birds, I know that feel!), I was thinking that the microphone picks up a lot of the room itself (and not just the birds), if that makes any sense. I'm really bad at explaining this.

      My mic has the same quality, but since it's a headset, I find that my voice is louder than the ambient noise. I believe that particular mic has cardioid and omni settings, maybe switch it to cardioid instead of omni (if you don't already have it on cardioid)?

      I will fool around with the settings when i go to record tommorrow. My computer is extremely noisy. I might be able to get rid of most of the noise by moving it further away. Thanks for taking the time to give me those suggestions. I really appreciate it.
