I prefer shoutbox , mainly because its just simple and kinda well known on this forum. The livechat is kinda on the small side but has some nice features like talking live to your friends and following you everywhere. The downside is that you don't see moderators in it and glitches more then the shoutbox (or atleast for me). I can live with both though..

I say we keep the shoutbox, but have a "friends list" option to where it shows our friends, and we can do just private chats. The LiveChat is a bit harder to read being in a little corner like it is, and not all users (those on kindle, phone, etc) may be able to view the chat, versus the shoutbox, where they could. The livechat is a good idea, but it could get harder to control and monitor with the way it is set up in my opinion.

Livechat would be nice, because having to get through MPs to talk secretly, it's kinda annoying. Plus, the shoutbox's laggy as hell.

BUT, the livechat needs its own page so we can get it on full screen.

I prefer the livechat for the fact it's smaller and takes less space for the threads. Though, it might be a problem for people with moble devices. Still, i think it's more conveniant.

Alright well the live chat is nice because its on all pages, but there is a lot I don't like.

It glitches... Like a lot. The messages get greyed out, it doesn't show the whole message, It doesn't let me scroll up to see messages at all and sometimes the messages don't send.
Also I think it is WAY to small. I can't see anything clearly. It may be a glitch too, since the messages are getting cut off.

I liked the shoutbox because it was bigger and I never experienced any glitches. Plus you can view it mobily, which you can't do on the livechat.
I don't think it is important that it's on every page. I would just open a new window. One for the shoutbox and one for browsing the forum.

If I was you, I would have both, because there are some people that are fond of the live chat. But for people like me, it is unusable.

I prefer the Shoutbox as a way of having the community able to talk to each other and new users to introduce themselves and get a feel for the place, but I really like the Livechat's ability to single out a friend for a private conversation.

If we could work those 2 things in together, I think we'd be perfect!

I love the new LiveChat, and I would like to know if you can add something:

Maybe an option to chat with multiple friends at once instead of just one, or is that already an option? (Other than chatting in the LiveChat) Just like a little option that says something like, "Invite Friend" or "Add Friend to Chat" or something like that.

Edit: It would also be nice if it could be resizable.

Livechat is really nice, plus people can easily create less shit storms. lol

Personally I prefered the Shoutbox's size over the Livechat's Site-Wide usage.

I like both but i prefer this Livechat. Anyway both make me lag so... At least you can close it and speak when you want.

I actually prefer the shoutbox .. but I guess I'll have to adapt to whatever you guys choose .. so

Shoutbox. But add it to the top of every page. Not just the homepage.
