Looking for a free video editing software

Appearently my video editing software had been acting weird not being able to fully render any videos well (By the way my video editing software is pinaccle videospin).
But is there any decent free video editing software or do I have to some buying?
Also .avi files don't work with with windows movie maker because magic.

P.S. I use fraps to record

There is Cinefx Jashaka, free video editing software that is very similar to WMM. I think this one does accept all formats including .AVI .
Here's a download link that I found through google. I've downloaded it myself and AVG didn't detect any viruses.

I personally use Sony Vegas for my videos.

It's really easy to use, but you have to spend a few bucks though.

Or, you could use AVITricks Video Editor. It's totally free.

VideoSpin, free editor based on Studio, does a pretty darn
good job compared with most free video tools. It doesn’t match the qualities of
paid softwares but perform basic editing and output movies pretty easily.
