  • Technical issues with FRAPS and windows movie maker

I played Slenderman and recorded the game with FRAPS while I used windows movie maker to record my facecam and mic. But when I was done and checked the videos, there were no gaming sound in the FRAPS-video ;( I did check it before I played (and not using WMM) and it worked, both video and sound.

Does anyone know what's wrong with the FRAPS sound recording? ?(
  • Um....let's see. I had the same problem like you my sound was enabled as well recording some game-play and i left it alone for about 1-2 days and it usually fixes it's self then. That's all I can think of other then check see if the sound enabled this is where it should be it should be in the movie section and that's where you will find the sound :)

  • Alright, here's what you need to do.

First, open Fraps, and go to the Movies tab. From there, you'll need to find a sub-tab thingy titled 'Sound Capture Settings'. Alright?

Then, analyze if 'Record Win7 sound' and 'Stereo' are checked.

After that, there is another box-o below that. Check if 'Record external input' is selected.

If that doesn't do the trick, I suggest updating Fraps [to the latest version [if you haven't done so]

Or use an alternative to Fraps.

    Such as Bandicam.

    Hope I helped :)
