I must say that nowadays ,most games are not that hard to beat because they usually lead you to your goals step by step.But the hardest game that i played was Wizardry 7 (Old school first person RPG-year1997 ) ...reason?Without a guide it was nearly impossible to finish (and still freaking hard even with the guide) ....you fuck up one single thing you won't even notice and you won't be able to finish the game.But at the same time it was (and still is!) so goddamn catchy....if you like RPG's, don't mind old school stuff and you're looking for a hell of a challenge then you should try this game!

In my opinion the hardest game ever made are the bullethell shooters and especially the Touhou series. those games will guarantee that you will rage and smash your keyboard all over the place when playing on Insane (i usually play on Hard or Insane)

Ahh, I LOVE Metroid! I must say the original NES game is annoyingly hard. Then again I haven't really finished it.

The Nes version is the ONLY game that is hard. I finished all other games, prime games on hardest diff even XD

Managed to nail all spellcards on Marisa AND Udongein on Hard on Touhou 8, i think thats enough. Lunatic is just frikken insane, i cant get past marisa. -
