""All Class-D personnel, please enter the containment chamber." echoed the voice over the intercom in the brightly lit chamber. I went in nervously.

I was just recently "promoted" to the rank of "SCP-173 Floor Cleaner". Don't ask me how that's better then CEO of transcripting visits.

As I went in, the door slammed shut behind us, the intercom instructed us to approach him. What did this have to do with cleaning the floors? The door suddenly opened, with the intercom nervously saying "There appears to be a problem with the door control system, uh.... the doors aren't responding to any of our attempts to close it, so, um.. Please maintain a direct eye contact with SCP-173 and wait for further instructio-"

He was suddenly cut off by the power going dark. The two people standing next to me, fell over, the statue glancing at me. I immediently ran out of the room, the lights flickering again and the guard attempting to shoot the statue. They went out again, and all I could see was darkness.

I quickly hit the button to open the door, and was greeted by a dark tunnel. Oh, dear. I always had a fear of the dark, how was I supposed to do this with the statue following me?

Luckily, I heard the intercom say surprisingly calmly "The site is experiencing multiple Keter and Euclid level containment breaches. Full site lockdown initiated." The voice didn't sound the same, though.

I worked up the bravery to walk through the tunnel, although I quickly sprinted. I found a hallwayand went into a room where I knew held the paper talking about it but found another paper titled "Safety Information". I quickly took the safety information, a-la MSDS for the statue, and it said to, if spotted, maintain eye contact and do not, in any terms, blink.

That sounded silly to me. Why could you not blink? I was just fine blinking in his chamber. I went in to the 2nd room and found 3 9volt batteries. "What a waste, leaving them on a shelf.." I muttered to myself.

I pressed another button, and it opened to a small room. "WARNING - DOOR AUTOMATICALLY CLOSES." Hm. There was also a TV, so I sat down on the cold hard metal floor to study it. There it was. The statue. It was standing right by the exit.

"If I just sprinted, I could make it." I thought to myself. I hit the button, quickly ran in, but just then, I blinked. The statue turned around. I heard the "Woosh!" of the doors shutting, and I blinked again.

He appeared suddenly in my face, and the last thing I remember is his hands around my neck."

      Hope you liked it, everyone.
