Whatever purpose this subforum is for it seems to be appropriate for this thread.
Now, that this point has been made several times, I'm just going to post my point of view on this entire subject, even though most of you don't give a shit or care to read. This certain subject has been around on youtube for a very long time. You probably now what this is all about. Yes, constantly rude and unnecessary comments about who is copying who regardless games, accessories and whatnot, the simple matter in fact is that most of us actually don't give a shit. But, having these bullshit 10 page conversation on every single youtubers comment section is just dumb. The perspective of those fan-wars actually make the entire community look bad. In fact, it makes the youtuber him/herself look bad.
Now, how can we possibly split those two? How can we stop those copying bullshit comments? How? No, we simply cannot. It is literally impossible. Now this, this is exactly why I made this thread. To ask you, whenever you see one of these conversations, whenever you realize what this person plays the same game as the other, don't speak your mind, nobody is interested!
This fact is just a tragedy, what if we want to see another individual play this specific game. What if we want to see a completely different personality and reaction factor play this game? Let's pull a metaphor, alright?
Youtuber X started a play through of Dead Space. A few weeks later, Youtuber Y started a play through of Dead Space.
Throughout most perspectives this would be like
Youtuber X started a play through of Dead Space. A few weeks later, Youtuber Y started a play through of Dead Space. "Cool, Youtuber Y has started a play through of the same game Youtuber X did several weeks ago, awesome to watch Youtuber Y who has a completely different personality to play the same game."
Throughout some really "dedicated fans" perspective it would be like
Youtuber X started a play through of Dead Space. A few weeks later, Youtuber Y started a play through of Dead Space. "Wait! Youtuber X played this game before you Y, you're copying him, go to hell, kill yourself."
And at that point, Youtuber Y ended his/her Dead Space play through. And everybody misses the chance to see somebody who they usually don't watch, play the game. To get on the point, Youtuber X does not own the game, he/she has absolutely no right to pin some sort of trademark on their play through.
I think I've made the point that you don't control other channels, being the first to play a game doesn't make it "your thing."
Take it easy and have a good day.
TL;DR: Let everybody play what the fuck they want.
