Well it seems there are some people who aren't satisfied with the way slender is played and decided to do something about it.

In layman's term of this is that this version will be multiplayer (possibly 2 or 4), it'll be built on the source engine, and there'll be porcelain dolls on this version (since the dev's claim that some people hate porcelain dolls).
Open beta will possibly be released in October (if the dev's are lucky), November or December with the full release in Feb or March 2013.
