Hey,
I got a few questions recently and I guess that many people don't know who I am and why I'm an admin, so I thought I'll just make a thread for answering these questions and introducing myself.
What was the first video of Pewdie you've seen?
It was quite a time ago, Pewdie made Call of Duty commentaries back then. My friend KMPR (Pewdie may know him as Kashy or Tim, but he hasn't been an active bro lately) sent me a link to a cool clip by him and I looked through his older videos, which made me subscribe.
How did you get in contact with Pewdie?
It probably started with his first community event, this also is where I got his Skype. Back then he allowed anyone to add him on Steam. We played a few rounds of some crazy Black Ops custom matches and had a conference call via Skype. It was quite hilarious. But he deleted the video of it some time ago.
When have you started with the site?
I started making it in spring 2011 (pewdiepie.de) after Pewdie said he's okay with that. Our first alpha and beta versions of the site sucked a bit to be honest. In summer we finally finished pewdiepie.de with Vanilla as forum software. After Pewdie was back from his summer break he announced it in this video. And this is when our cooperation began.
What does pewdiepie.net mean to you?
I invested quite some time in here and pewdiepie.de. Besides the time, Pewdie and I had to pay around 200-300 euros for the whole relaunch, while Pewdie payed for the webspace and I bought the software. I'm happy that the site does pretty well, because this was my biggest project yet. Also, it has somehow changed my life a bit, by making me realize that there are such friendly and cool people out there. I still think my real life friends are pretty cool, but it's awesome to see there are even more (a lot more!) friendly people out there.
Why are you the admin and not me?
I guess I was pretty lucky with getting in contact with Pewdie so early.
If there are more questions feel free to post them here.
TL;DR: I'm a cool guy c:
