      Hmmm where to start.....

I had my door closed in my room and I was just resting in my bed when I heard some footsteps in the hallway. Knowing that I was home alone I opened my eyes to find my door wide open and no my window wasn't open, besides, my door was shut to where you would have to twist the knob. I went out to the living room to find my dog cowering behind a chair.

A certain trumpet that sits flatly on my brothers dresser always gets flung across the room even though there is no way of it falling.

I've seen 2 figures in my house: one just standing in my brothers room in the corner and one running around my house. The one standing seemed to be an older man and the running one seemed to be a kid. I didn't really get a good look since I was freaking the hell out :D

Ever since my mom passed away in our house earlier this year I have heard footsteps and banging at night even though everyone else is asleep (Since it's summer I usually stay up till like 3 A.M. so I get to hear lots of noises)

2 printers in our house keep turning on and off by themselves.

The other day I was on my computer like usual and I thought I heard something in the other room. So I sat there and carefully listened and I definitely heard someone talking from my brothers room. So being very curious, I went into his room only to find his computer chair slowly gliding across the floor with no one in there. Needless to say I haven't gone in there since haha.

Random lights in our house will turn on for no apparent reason.

And lastly at my grandmas house, I heard crying coming from upstairs. She has a very, very old house and the upstairs part is more like storage so no one goes up there a lot.

I'm sure there are more events that happened but my mind is drawing a blank right now :D In fact, right as I'm typing this I'm hearing footsteps in my hallway even though I'm home alone :|
like i said 3 AM is when paranormal shit goes down but bro i have only had experiences with rituals and other events D: i cannot imagine living in a house like that

      I HAVE DIABEETUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Hm, I'm not sure if I should share this as this one is a bit much and most of the time I don't really believe it myself... Still since you seem to be interested. I live in the Okanagan which has a lot of lakes. Our biggest lake is Lake Okanagan which has a lot of legends surrounding it. The most famous is the one about the lake monster Ogopogo, which was made up by the natives to keep people away from the water as they for some reason believed it was dangerous to go into the lake. Due to that we get a lot of tourists to the lake that come boating and so forth. In the past couple years there have been several deaths on that lake. One disapearance, one boating accident, and one drowning. The drowning I saw.
It happened last August. My friends from out of town and I went to a beach in Kelowna, a city next to mine that has a nice beach/park on Okanagan lake. Personally am extremely afraid of water due to a experience when I was younger. So I stayed on the beach taking pictures while they went swimming. I have a digital I use for work, but I hadn't wanted it to get damaged as it was pricey so I had picked up one of those water proof disposals for the day.
I was taking pictures on the beach, and this guy that I think was there on the beach start acting a little weird. He kept staring at the water. Eventually he got up and walked right into my shot as I was taking a picture and just stood there staring. I went over and asked him what was wrong, though I was a little annoyed that I now had a useless photo. He turned to me and said.
      'Can't you see him?'
I felt really creeped out. But I asked anyways what he was taking about.
'The guy out in the water with all his clothes on. Why does he have all his clothes on?'
There was no one like that at all. After that I really wanted to leave but my friends wouldn't leave. So I just stayed far away from this dude. A little while later the guy walked into the water like he was in a trance and started swimming out. He got pretty far out, then suddenly just went under. The cops were called and it ended up all over the news.
I was really afraid but I convinced my self nothing happened. Then I got the film developed. In the picture where the guy was standing in the shot, there was a older guy, fully dressed standing in the water staring at the man that was defiantly not there that day! Even the people at the photo store were really really freaked out. I asked them to get rid of the photo for me.
I remember seeing the photo of the guy from the disappearance and that was for sure him in the photo but he had missing long before that picture had been taken. He hadn't been found yet.
This year the beach is closed due to flooding, but I can't help but wonder how many times the lake has claimed victims like this.
The more I think about it, the more I never want to go to a beach.

Well not many people that hear the story believe me, but it is true. As I said, half the time I don't even know if I believe myself. A lot of people die on that lake though... So something has to be going on.

That or its a fish... ever watch "River Monsters" but yeah it could be this cryptid or ghost you are speaking of but I believe in all these superstitions :3 I mean a cryptid would be more interesting than a prehistoric fish running around "hide yo kids, hide yo wife, hide yo husband, cuz they rapin' everyone all up in here"

Ofcourse they will not believe you since most people don't believe in those things till they see something with their own eyes.

    • I used to wake up @ 2am when I was sleeping in my room. Not sure if imagination but I keep seeing a lady, who wears a gown, passed by in our sala. yes, my door is freaking open. But now, I'm not waking up.xD Thus, always late at school.joke.

Last time it got creepy in the house when the fan suddenly moved, like everyone was asleep already at that time.o.o
    • Me and a friend was sitting in his room with two other people talking and I looked over at his door and saw it close by itself, then we both looked at each other and asked "Did you see that?" at the same time.

His carpet was to high to, so it took some effort to push that damn door closed, so it couldn't of been the wind.

Of course I also had tea with Slenderman, not a bad chap if I may say so myself..

      "I'm...Watching....You......."
    • XD After playing so many horror games and watching the movies, my mind has flipped out on me and decided to make me randomly see the creatures and ghosts from them. Sometimes I'll see Kayako (Grudge) crawling around my chair or see Slenderman out in the woods around here. I know its not paranormal but I guess my mind would love for me to think that it is. :D

    • I've only ever had one remotely paranormal thing happen that I can recall. That was when I decided to just stay home when I lived with my aunt in her house on Halloween night and eat candy and watch movies. Here's the thing about this house, it's over 100 years old and was actually a whore house at some point in time and has gone through two generations in the family. It's way out in the middle of nowhere, halfway up a mountain range. Anyways, I had just got done watching a gory anime (Not scary, btw) and had gotten up.

As I passed the stairs, I could swear I hear creaking like steps on them and I knew it wasn't from me walking around. Who knows? Maybe it was just the house being so damn old and the wind made it creak, but there's just something very eerie about being alone in that huge house on the mountain. I feel bad for my cousins, aunt, and uncle living up there. But whatever spirits/creatures live there, they're apparently peaceful.

My best friend used to tell me about all the weird things she saw as a child. On a non scary note, she used to see the faeries down by the river where she lived and would build little houses for them. On the scary side, she used to see a woman weeping in an upstairs corner of her house and something once locked her in the bathroom - that DIDN'T LOCK, I might add.

As for the things in here about stuff disappearing/reappearing/moving/etc, I pretty much just attribute this to the faeries. They're mischievous spirits who like to misplace things and play practical jokes. Supposedly you can appease them with gifts of milk/cream and shiny coins/objects. On the other hand, you also ward them off by hanging iron (like pots and pans, etc), as they hate iron.

Also, all those afraid? Remember that evil spirits FEED on fear, hate, and despair, so being afraid only makes you a more attractive target.

EDIT: I suppose I should also mention this. Anyone who has EVER owned a cat will notice them just randomly staring at walls and stuff? Keep in mind they say children and ANIMALS are much more in tune with the spirit world.

Oh damn, My friend had such thing when he was younger. Way back when he was like 3-6 years old , they moved into an old house and he said strange things were happening , since he everytime saw a (little) girl running around in his house and it could manipulate objects aswell (disappearing objects , candles blown out , objects rattling or in mid-air) . Before they moved to an other house they went asking at the neighbours if it was weird that they thought it was haunted. multiple neighbours then explained that a little girl was hanged in the basement and that her ghost haunts the house. I thought actually that was bullshit since I was sceptic like hell, so I asked my friends parents... and they confirmed the story what my friend told was true. And seriously , it is one of my closest friends and he wouldn't really lie or prank with me since we are both kinda serious with those things.

For my little dogs concerned , they keep staring at my door sometimes and growl and make cautionous barks (soft barks) . And once they were really pissed scared in my room since they were weeping as hell.

    • Kinda glad that the only haunted house I lived in was my great grandma's, since she wouldn't really be malevolent. Now one story is from last halloween. My aunt and cousin decided that we should go checking out places that were supposedly haunted. (I agreed simply because of my curiosity, knowing I'd be scared out of my mind.) It was about a 30 minute drive down a long country road surrounded by trees and darkness. When we were 5 minutes away fog started flowing in almost like a greeting. We arrived and it was just a small white abandoned church sitting on the side of the road with a graveyard behind it. We didn't get out for a while and just sat there with the headlights illuminating some of the windows. (I swear I saw something move.) They got out and had to do a lot of convincing to get me to step out. We just went through the place looking around with me practically dancing, trying to keep an eye on everything. I wanted to leave but they wanted to look through the graveyard. At night. On frickin Halloween. Good god why was I out there. I'm out there with my ds flashlight (always.....always) and they're just checking out graves. Then we heard a coyote howl. And it was somewhat close. Now ghosts and zombies are one thing but I really don't want to deal with a pack of wild animals without maybe a club. And that was the end of it, we left. I don't know if there were really ghosts there but I'm neeeeever going back to find out.

    • paranormal stuff you witnessed?

      well mine is kinda wierd
i always heard someone calling my name behind me, but whenever i turned around
there was NOBODY there... i really dont understand it, neither did i hear my
door open nor close... so i wanted to feel safer and i made my self a thin wodden sword
cut it and sharpened it, but whenever someone called my name, he still wasnt there...
and always kept my sword somewhere safe, so nobody knows i suffer from,
hallucinations or paranoia (was scared from going to the psychiatrist)
but i KNOW it wasnt what i just said, but i think someone is watching me
at the moment, and im scared about it...

Somehow having sharp objects around to protect yourself from the paranormal - usually ethereal things - seems counterproductive if it's something that wants to hurt you, at least when it's made of wood.
    • my cat is always doing that ^^ but for me there is always a presence, nothing ever happens to me (besides the few I have said) but that presence really starts to annoy me when I see "mr smiley" or "jeff the killer" cuz I keep looking around in paranoia thinking they are there, this also happened a few days after I met the tailsdoll, paranoia kept making me look around the room and I covered all my red lights so that way I could tell if he came in, he never did gladly and I got over him ^^
