PC is screwing up more and more

Hey,

So... I don't know what the problem is. I don't have any viruses (as far as I know). I scanned with Iobit Advanced System Care 5 (Pro) but it says that everything is ok.

So the problem is:

Windows is really slow. It takes 2-3 min to start up. After login I have a blackscreen for 2min because everything is loading slow as hell. Shutdown takes forever... 5min or something.

Other problems are that I can't use Steam or play Blacklight Retribution (only these 2 so far). After starting each of them (Steam is not even showing up and Blacklight freezes in the login screen) the PC literally dies. Nothing works anymore and I have to restart it via PC button.

I don't want to spend any money and I can't formate (?) it because when I buyed the PC they didn't give me a Win7 CD.

What should I do? Or what is the problem?

First get a better anti virus and defragment your PC.

Best would be that you reinstall your PC with windows , if you a legit windows 7 code etc. then you may even legally download and burn windows 7 on a disk and use your code while (re)installing it.

defregment done twice today.

Advanced System Care 5 is just for scanning... my active anti-virus is Iobit Malware Fighter (also Pro)

Also I have checked some (background) information about the anti-virus and saw that they stole intellectual properties from malwarebytes and I have to agree with someone who said the following : "Once a thief , always a thief" so I actually doubt that this antivirus is actually any good since they properly can't maintain a database of its own.

they basically stole parts of the program.

First the start up issue, it could have something to do with the Black Screen of death, try this : pxnowa.prevx.com/zerol/fixshell.exe

clean your registry ! (use CCleaner)

check if your hard drive is corrupted.

is your desktop full with items ? if yes that could be the cause of the slow start up.

From the things that are happening i'm guessing that his hard drive is heavyli corrupted or system file named " smss.exe " isnt working

I'm currently using 2 at the same time , Malwarebytes and Avira. Gives an uber-tight security but crys out loud for everything (crys even harder then McAffee).

I am using Nod32 and Avira Pro. They are compatibile and dont atack eachother

I think you should download / buy another anti virus. Advanced System Care anti virus / mailware detector is not working at all. You should try ESET NOD 32 or Kaspersky. I have Kaspersky and it is an excellent anti virus.

I know warez isn't allowed, but you can go to torrent or warez sites and download windows, burn it to CD and format.
If you checked your computer with AV, and he said everything is fine, then most likely it is. I tested almost every single AV program there is, including yours on my 4th computer which I use for testing.
That sounds more like your HD is corrupted, thats the first step you check when you notice slowness on your desktop. Find the name of your HD, go on manufacturers website download their tools which test the health of HD and check if there are any corrupted sectors or some other errors.

Its actually weird , but if you do own a keysticker (most of the time located of the back of your PC) then you are allowed to download the program in any way. be sure to download a non-tempered version though. also , if you don't own a code then you are not able to do it legitly

Control Panel - Device Manager - Disk Drives. There you will see your HDs name.
