      Slender Man (the facade-style one) was made in October 2011 for a competition. Slender (the 3d game) was made sometime earlier this year, but I don't know when exactly.

      I doubt people are going to think the Slenderman myth comes from me. An example of what you're saying also is the first game Slender man the walking sound is the same from minecraft, eveyrone (including myself) is saying "they took the sound from minecraft" when its actually just a walking sound taken from a free stock website.

      It's just how a normal way to think since we heard it from there first.

      coming back on the sounds , and this is why people think they ripped it off and flame a game just for it. while as you stated that the sounds come from a (free)stock sounds website.

      People who are suffering from so called "tunnel-vision" will link slenderman to you and will not/never know where the actual myth/creepypasta etc. comes from xD



    • To correct the account of When slenderman was made Yes it was a competition but no it wasn't in 2011 it was in 2009 for a contest I believe for somethingawful.com or something like that, The creator of Slenderman was under the name Vicktor_Surge I believe I'll give you the link to the forum below:

      I didnt mean it like that, I meant that some are going to think of you when they think of slenderman, and whenever someone mentions slenderman they are going to start fangirling or something, Kinda like they did on the slenderman forums. instead when they think of slenderman they should think of a cold fear that might become a shadow that follows you and never leaves you alone, slowly ruining your life and driving you mad.

      I dont know I dont read about slenderman because I am within the people who believe in him, and like I said if you know too much about him he will come for you (or thats what I hear) either way it doesnt matter. fangirls will be fangirls :3

      for an example when some people think of the wii they instantly think of Mario, but the wii has so much of a variety of games and shouldnt be mainly seen as a Mario Gaming Console, yet it is. Or whenever you hear 3DS you instantly think of a DS in 3D but the 3DS has so much more power than the original DS it should be seen as the DS 2 but it isnt. anyway I am not very good at explaining this but I think you can see my point.

    • I actually heard about this game from this thread, and played it before pewdie played it, I just hadn't uploaded because I saved it for my 100th video (and because I have a job so uploading is a spare-time thing). I'm sick of people attacking me and saying i'm copying him. If i never played any games that somebody played before me, then I wouldn't play games ever. And by that same logic, pewdie copied SCP Containment breach and Paranormal from me (amongst others), since my video went up first.

      It's retarded and pathetic to accuse people of copying just because they play the same game - I could understand if I had his mannerisms and voice and facecam and talked about nipples all the time, because THAT would be copying. There are people (some on this forum) who thrive on the memes created by pewdie in their videos and somehow avoid criticism, which is what really pisses me off.

      I hope some of the people going round disliking videos reads this, because it's pathetic and they should grow the hell up.
