Team Fortress 2 without Steam?

Hey,

So... I'm f*cking pissed. I don't know why Steam is such a b*tch but it just won't work on my computer. When I try to open it... my whole PC freezes. I have to restart it over and over again. I've never been a fan of Steam before, because it's the most useless programm I've ever seen. A freaking website with only a install.exe isn't good enough... NOO.

My question is... is there a way to play Team Fortress 2 without this Steam shit?

TF2 without steam is impossible , and if it were. you would be kicked out of all VAC secured servers since they couldn't check your identity.

Maybe you have an idea why Steam doesn't work? It works when I start my computer in safe-mode but... I can't play then.

Not sure if this'll help, but you never know. Here's this Steam Support thread; I know it says for Steam saying it's not connected to the internet, but... again... you never know. XD;

If anything, I would suggest to update your graphics card if it's the game that keeps crashing -- I've had the crashing problem with L4D2 when I first started playing it. If it's Steam that's constantly crashing, then I honestly don't have a clue other than what's in that thread I linked.

Before my game can crash I have to start Steam first. And that is the problem. As soon as I click it my computer freezes completly and I have to restart it via PC-button.

I think it's just useless. A website with a download is enough. I don't want to install other crap just to run a game.

I don't give a crap anymore. I hate Steam more than... I just hate it. And when I can only play TF2 with Steam I'll just not play it anymore.

Actually there are a small handful of non-steam cracked versions of TF2, however, you can only play on cracked servers. Googling TF2 Non-Steam Version" might help.
